“Excellent place to stay en route from north of France to south of Spain”

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel, and I was welcomed by Madame as if I were a regular. It is a perfect place to stop off on my way from North of France to south of Spain. Real bonuses are the off road parking and the place being pet friendly. I didn’t use the spa this time (although it was hugely relaxing the last time) but I did have a really good night’s sleep and an excellent breakfast the following morning.

The breakfast was absolutely excellent, offering a great variety and quality to start the day. The location couldn't have been better – just a few minutes away from the tram, which takes you directly to Bordeaux, making it very convenient. The service was top-notch, and I was particularly impressed with how helpful and friendly the staff was. It's such a pity that I could only stay for one night and had to leave early, as I would have loved to make full use of the services offered. All in all, it was a fantastic experience!

“The optimum place to stay if en route through Bordeaux”

We were on a big road trip from the north of France to the south of Spain, driving in a car with a roof box, so I couldn't deal with anywhere with an underground car park. Les Criquets has its own secure car park, so that was the first reason I chose it. And what a good choice it was. The place was perfectly situated just to the north of Bordeaux, we were given a very friendly welcome from Madame and she was more than happy for us to have our two small dogs in our room for a very reasonable surcharge. Blanquefort station is only 5 minutes from the hotel and you can take a tram from there into the centre of Bordeaux. It's a 25-minute journey and you don't have to worry about car parking. The hotel spa is also excellent with a swimming, sauna, and steam room. We also spoilt ourselves with a massage. The whole spa is kept scrupulously clean, as is the whole hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel, but there was an excellent bistro 10 minutes walk from the hotel at which we ate both nights of our visit. Breakfast in the hotel was simple but exactly what was required.

Clean, welcoming, good stop after leaving Caen. Good breakfast and a nice spa to rejuvenate.

Impeccable spa with jacuzzi and swimming pool. The breakfast had a lot of homemade items.

Excellent restaurant with a very good wine list for dinner. The hotel presented a lovely breakfast with eggs cooked to order.
