Overview
This Chateau is located 9 kilometres from Bordeaux, between Pauillac and Saint-Emilion. It offers an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi internet access. The 19th-century estate offers luxury rooms with flat-screen TVs and large bathrooms. At Chateau Grattequina guests can enjoy food and regional wine served in their room or on the terrace overlooking the River Garonne. The hotel can also organise wine-tasting tours in the region and offers a boat service enabling guests to reach Bordeaux after a 15-minute cruise during which drinks can be enjoyed.

“A unique stay”
We stayed there for 4 nights and it was an amazing place. Sooo beautiful, serene, right on the river with green all around, well maintained, perfect service. If you want a Chateau close to Bordeaux or Medoc, then highly recommended.

“Beautiful but disappointing”
This chateau is beautiful. No doubt. It’s been beautifully decorated and is well loved. The bedrooms are a great size, very comfy beds and super clean The gardens are also fantastic and well loved.

“A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff in a magnificent setting.”
This is a really beautiful boutique hotel and all the staff were delightful. We received a very warm welcome from the moment we arrived . The rooms are beautiful and the gardens and pool are also superb. This hotel is a real gem on the banks of the Gironde. If you want to explore the left bank wines of Bordeaux then this is a great place to stay.

“Beautiful setting, but overpriced and underwhelming”
Not worth the money for a 4-star hotel. The building and gardens are beautifully maintained, and the swimming pool with towels and toys was a big plus. We also enjoyed the little house by the pier and the cosy lounge with a chess set. Despite some lovely features, we found the value for money disappointing.

“Divine”
This is a wonderful Chateau Hotel. It was a pleasure to stay here and be treated to delightful accommodation and gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful but also unobtrusive, at times making it feel like you had the chateau all to yourself. The breakfast was good with small but adequate options. The in house dining was also very good if you are only wanting a small meal after a long day out and about sightseeing.

What an amazing find in Bordeaux! This is an exquisite property that more than exceeded my expectations! The drive up to the property from the gate reveals manicured lawns and an amazing sprawling estate. Once parked up, you come up to the property itself that looks even better than the pictures. Max at reception was a delight who covered the check-in like a pro taking time to show us around and walked us to our room. Now the room (with river and pool view) was just perfect. It was massive, immaculately clean, and super comfortable. We then popped down to the heated pool for a quick dip and used the sauna - both were perfect. The only downside was that I had only booked one night and couldn't extend due to work commitments. Massive congratulations and thanks to the owners who put 5 star establishments to shame with what they have to offer here. Do not have a second thought and just book here. It's perfect.
