Wish we’d had a longer stay to enjoy this quaint and cosy Blue Mts cottage!

A quaint typical Blue Mts cottage! Comfortable and cosy, clean and well fitted out. Plenty of games if we had had the time, loved the bathroom with the old free standing bath, great shower and heated towel rail. Welcoming living room, comfortable beds and pillows; lovely garden and barbecue area, although it was a bit too cold to enjoy the outside. We liked the location - close enough to the village but also on the road to Shipley.

Wonderful stay, with pets in cozy country cottage in garden setting

Before check-in time, I was given a code to unlock the safe. We were also provided 2 keys to the front door, in case the group wanted to split up, we could have separate keys. The backyard is large and fully enclosed, suitable for most dogs (incl. our mini schnauzers). The front yard is fully enclosed as well, as long as you close the driveway gate. There's 2 toilets: one in bathroom & another in laundry, which adds versatility. The bathroom had heated towel rack, venting fan, generous bathtub, and the water was very hot (had to be tempered with cold water), so I could really enjoy a nice hot bath. The fridge came empty, but the pantry had basics like oil, salt, foil, cling wrap etc. and fully equipped kitchen (although we never cooked). The electric heaters were amazing. The woodstove fireplace was nice, although perhaps more a novelty, as it didn't radiate as much heat as the heater in the living room. I did enjoy making a fire though, and they provided a fire starter and enough dry wood for 1 night. I slept well , although some of my companions complained of noise from freight train. I enjoyed little comforts like: accessible power points in bedrooms with dual plugs; hooks to hang coats near entryway; nice coffee making machine & grinder (have to byo beans or grounds); secure doggy door in laundry door; wifi & TV.

It was fabulous and I’ll go back there soon.

The location of the place, architecture of the house and how well equipped it is.

Location to Blackheath.. central access to blue mountains is fantastic. Heated towel rail given wet weather conditions during our visit was great especially as no clothes dryer. Shower was great and hot water was abundant given unseasonal cold wet weather Lots of kitchen pots and pans and selection of plates and cutlery. Kitchen dining area was the main asset and we found we relaxed there as it was tidy and clean. Great to have the spice rack and oil, salt and pepper. Hugely beneficial and welcomed when with a family and making dinners. Great to have sufficient powder for laundry and dishwasher for the week. Availability of books for reading was amazing and the games (although many were missing lots of pieces) did offer kids some opportunity for play due to bad/wet weather.

Nice location, but very tired and needs a good clean

It was relatively well stocked with cutlery etc and the house was generally spacious. There was a lovely garden at the back of the property.

Lovely little cottage, good facilities, it was extremely cold outside but very cosy inside with fire and electric blankets to keep us warm. Kitchen is small but very well equipped. Garden is also charming.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was very cosy and personable. It had everything we needed. Lovely quiet location. Nice garden. Lovely hikes in the neighbourhood. Walking distance from train station (about 10 minutes) which was great as we didn't have a car.
