Overview
Set 250 km above the Arctic Circle, in Björkliden, the ski-to-door access Hotell Fjället offers views of the Lapporten Valley. It features a restaurant, a mini-market and free WiFi access is available throughout. Guests can relax in the sauna. They can enjoy the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights in winter. With a contemporary décor, the heated rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Each has a private bathroom equipped with free toiletries and a hairdryer. A variety of activities, like hiking, fishing, skiing and dogsled tours can be performed in the immediate surroundings. The property has free ski storage and a ski pass vendor can be found on site. Ski season in Björkliden is between February and the beginning of May every year. Outside these month winter activities like snow mobile tours, can be arranged by the staff. Björkliden Train Station is 1.5 km from Fjället Hotel. Abisko National Park is 4 km away.

“Best place to enjoy the arctic night”
This might be the best place in the world to enjoy the northern lights. The hotel has a great location, brilliant staff and everything that you might want from a stay (including non-stop mini-store, sauna, two restaurant options, etc.). The room was small but comfortable and warm, the restaurant had some great options for dinner and the location is beyond amazing. You need only to walk 500m and you'll be in the middle of a majestic mountain waiting to be explored. There are also a lot of options for activities.

The views are magnificent, the staff is friendly (and seemingly very youthful), the food is of high standard (both breakfast and dinner) and the rooms and hotel areas very cosy and in appropriate mountain style.
