Had a really comfortable stay at People Hostel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere felt very social but still relaxed, and the hostel was clean throughout my stay. I especially liked the cozy yard and the chance to meet travelers from different countries. Good location, comfortable beds, and overall great value for the price. Would definitely stay here again

It really feels like visiting friends — you’re welcomed with kindness and a smile, and they’re always ready to help with anything. The other guests were super sweet too. I’ll definitely come back again!

“Nice hostel, but unhelpful staff.”

I stayed at People Hostel&Coworking in the heart of the beautiful city of Bishkek for two nights in August 2025. I booked a bed in a 6-bed dormitory and paid a total of US $25.92, which was good value for money. The hostel also arranged an airport pick-up transfer for me upon arrival for 1300 KGS (approx. $15). While this was convenient, it was nearly double the cost of my return trip to the airport using the YandexGo taxi app (737 KGS). That said, for travelers arriving without the app already installed or functional, the hostel’s airport transfer can be a useful option. The dorm room itself was spacious and well laid out. Each bed featured its own privacy curtain, creating a capsule-like feel, which provided a nice sense of isolation and comfort. Beds were equipped with a personal reading light, power socket, and USB port – essential features that are becoming standard in hostels. A good-sized locking cupboard was also provided for each bed, offering secure storage for personal belongings, which added an extra layer of convenience and peace of mind. The bathroom facilities were in good condition, and linen/towel felt fresh. . Hostel's location is just a short walk from the main street (around400m) Chuy Avenue. From here, it’s very easy to explore the city using the YandexGo app, which offers access to affordable taxis and rentable e-scooters.

For reference no hostel ever gets a 10 from me. Layout was great. Plenty of different guests to speak to and relaxing stay overall. I was not feeling well when I arrived and the staff were wonderful throughout. I was offered a better room as I recovered. It was so nice of them. All of the staff were fantastic and their friendly attitude will be remembered. Due to my illness I had to stay longer than a typical guest to recover (13 nights, and Bishkek for 3 weeks total). Being able to rest in a room with fewer guests was an amazing gesture. The kitchen was very well stocked and had filter water with a small selection of complementary tea and coffee. The dining area had cable which allowed guests to watch TV together 😊. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lockers were gigantic. It's most certainly a hostel suited for travellers with big packs! Laundry was very affordable and there were plenty of areas to sit but some cushions for the wooden benches would've been an improvement. The hostel location is perfect to explore Bishkek's centre. The are plenty of local cafés and markets to stock up on goodies and restaurants to try various cuisines.

It's not my first time in this special hostel & I am a returning guest as it feels safe, very comfy & clean there. The staff is very helpful & friendly. The location is very convenient. Dwellers are very interesting personalities from around the globe & you may speak many languages. There are different sections for every purpose: ✓ a laundrette; ✓ a superb kitchen; ✓ a co-working area; ✓ leisure facilities (e.g.: a table tennis) I love this hostel.
