“Perfect getaway from the hustle of the city”

Loved the place and where it was situated .. among the ruins of the past .. it was the best feeling . Nizwa fort was about 30 mins and we had no regrets staying away from the fort . It has a lovely cafe too . The rooms were cozy and very comfortable . It is done very aesthetically but simple.

Great value for money and our host Ishak was so friendly and helpful.

Our stay at بيت الصباح نزل وكافيه Bait AlSabah Heritage Inn & Cafe was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we could feel the unique and welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful place. The rooms are stunning – a perfect blend of traditional Omani design and modern comfort. Every detail has clearly been chosen with care. We especially loved the thoughtful touches, such as the regional frankincense-based toiletries, which added an authentic and luxurious local experience. The café is truly amazing! Breakfast was outstanding – fresh, delicious, and prepared with so much attention to detail. Everything tasted fantastic. And the Karak tea? Without a doubt the best we have ever had! The location is also perfect, making it easy to explore the nearby ruins and surrounding area while still enjoying the peaceful and charming ambiance of the inn. We would return anytime and wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful heritage inn. A true gem! ✨

“A lovely little unique stay”

Lovely hotel hosts, the bedroom was really high quality and everything was comfortable. The two little cats made us smile too. Nice walks to do from the property to see the abandoned village or the palm trees down the road. He also gave us a little free gift when we left which was nice.

I would recommend everyone to visit this hotel. It is wonderfully located with a beautiful rooftop terrace. The rooms are authentic, clean, and have everything you need. The owners are incredibly kind people, and they also have a lovely coffee bar with delicious coffee. A delightful stay!! Thank you for the wonderful visit.

A magical place. A structure built from raw mud, attached to the old village of Harat As Sibani, with highly evocative rooms, a beautiful terrace, and an outdoor fire pit lit in the evening. The staff were extremely kind—we were offered breakfast and even received a souvenir. Excellent, 10/10.

Location, service, quaintness, quiet, clean. We knew there was no evening meal facilities but they arrange for a choice of takeaways to be delivered and you can eat them in the cafe.

“We had a poor experience”

Staying here is not good value for money. Noisy air conditioning was necessary even though it was winter as very small room became hot and stuffy. Small bed, little room to move around it. Noisy so close to reception and downstairs customer toilet. Nowhere to put your bags or anything. We couldn't sleep and left exhausted the next morning and chose not to return even though the hotel would not refund us.

We loved the location, right at the beginning of the ruins. We also loved the room, the way it is built and the bathroom was also nice. It is a bit small, but that’s alright. Unfortunately we had a room on the ground floor, so we did not have much of a view, but it was nonetheless enjoyable. We only stayed one night and I think 1-2 nights would are a good idea, I would not recommend for stays longer than that.

Perfect location

This was one of our favorite stays. The hotel is located in a beautifully renovated old, traditional Omani building, preserving its original cultural character. Everything was very clean, and the location was incredibly peaceful—set in a cultural village surrounded by palm trees. The receptionist (we forgot his name) was extremely kind, and the food was fantastic, as was the coffee. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We did a trail of heritage inns on this holiday, and this is one is the best one we’ve been too. The rooms, beds, bathrooms and facilities are just amazing. While they have a cafe on site, it doesn’t provide any food but they helped to get food delivery for our lunch and dinner which we had at the cafe. You can enjoy the view and go walking around the ruins.
