“Location, Location, Location Hidden Gem”

B&B Villa Calliandra is truly a hidden gem. We stayed there twice for a total of 10 days during February and March, and it quickly became our home away from home. Located within a maze of sandy streets in a quiet rural residential area filled with flowers and trees, B&B Villa Calliandra is peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly welcoming. The staff work tirelessly to keep both the rooms and property spotless. Nayama, the manager along with Pendant, Assan, Isha and Vitalie all helped make our stay exceptional. Breakfast is included and offers a variety of food for everyone's taste. Each room also includes tea and coffee supplies and a small refrigerator which was very convenient and a tea kettle. Although B&B Villa Calliandra is tucked away, it is not far from the airport. There are signs along the way but you do need to pay attention to them carefully. The property is easy to find onGoogle maps or maps me, and if needed Nyama is always just a phone call away and happy to guide taxi or tuk tuk drivers directly to the location. The beach is beautiful and within walking distance, as are three excellent restaurants. The main tourist area, with many more restaurants, bars, and atms, is about 2 km away and an easy walk. What made B&B Calliandra truly special for us was the warmth of the staff they made us feel like family and it was genuinely said to leave. B&B Villa callender is the only place we would stay in banjul and we cannot wait to return.

“Nice place for relaxing stay”

The place is nicely decorated, very tidy and in a quiet safe area but little far from the sea. For people which like waliking like me is ok. Also can rent bike for free. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok and you could also order some food for lunch at a good price. Manja is an excellent cook and prepares local specialties. Internet was mostly ok. The pool was clean and a very relaxing place to spend time.

The hotel is a lovely oasis, located in the middle of a laboratory in a beautiful residential area. Nice walk from the hotel to the beach

Great location if you have a late flight not far from airport .The breakfast buffet included in the room price .Everything was very clean. Lovely host and very caring staff.

A delightfull place to stay. Beautifull garden with lovely birds in the trees around the pool and the lovely owner is always around for a chat or to help you around, even for breakfast if you like to leave early morning Highly recomended!

“My Gambian experience at a B&B”

The staff were supa helpful "Penda" came out to meet me as this place is difficult to find. Penda was friendly and very acoomadting. The shops were a good treck, ok there are local shops but I needed food in my belly and snacks. Nyma offered to show how to get to the supermarkets, and we had a lovely chat o route. The B&B it self was clean well kept with lovely staff. The manager Theresa was a gem. She fell ill when I was leaving. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to say good bye and thank you.

“Beautiful B&B”

The breakfast buffet had a variety of fruits , and in general they offered a lot of option. The manager was very responsive and all the staff were super nice. And i loved the pool, as i was alone during my stay i was able to enjoy it all.

What else can I say! I was treated as part of the family. I did not had enough of the facility that’s why I’m already planing when to go back to Banjul I got so attached to the ambiance…

We just stayed here one day as we had a flight around midnight and needed an affordable room and pool to hang out. The hotel was a very positive surprise and we enjoyed our time here very much. Theresa was great to chat with and she even cooked meals for us. The room was large with comfy beds and the internet was faster than in some of the high-end hotels that we stayed at. Especially if you wanna stay longer somewhere without spending too much, this is a perfect option.

We had such a fantastic stay at Villa Calliandra. All the staff and Theresa were brilliant. Theresa was such a great host, she was so welcoming and provided everything we needed for our stay. Location was great to visit the local area as well as visiting Banjul and visiting family in Brikama. The facilities were great spotlessly clean and again everything we needed. The pool was clean and a great place to relax and swim. Breakfast was very good. A great selection of meats, cheese, eggs, toast, yoghurt, fresh fruit and more. My children felt so comfortable here, and they were able to be free and see it like a home from home. Thanks for everything. We are looking forward to staying again next time we visit.
