“Wonderful stay in this comfortable, well equipped lodge surrounded by nature”

Wonderful stay at Yarumo Lodge and wish we’d arranged to stay longer. Lovely hosts. Charming spotless lodge, very well equipped kitchen and handy to have the washing machine. Very comfortable and relaxing. It’s tucked away so no cafes etc on the doorstep (they’re a short drive away) but literally on the edge of the forest so the wildlife was enthralling. Sitting on the balcony we watched butterflies, humming birds, howler monkeys and, for the first day, were lucky to be able to watch a sloth in a tree very close to the front of the lodge.

Very comfy, great mattress, everything was very very clean and well organised! Also practical if you open both doors there’s a natural wind. We also got a courtesy of wine which was great!

Beautiful accomodation. Well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom. Love the decor and house plants. Lots of attention to detail. Host went above and beyond to add special touches for a special occasion. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Liked everything

Right in the jungle. Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys. Big rain shower. Well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Very kind and responsive host. If you are used to the city, you may need to adjust to being in and near nature. There are insects. The climate here is very humid and it smelled a bit moldy inside. Luckily the AC was good and strong to have comfortable nights.

We had a wonderful stay at these chalets in Costa Rica. The chalets were very clean, thoughtfully equipped, and beautifully located in a peaceful setting surrounded by abundant wildlife. It was a real pleasure to wake up and enjoy nature all around us. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more special. We truly felt at home and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Costa Rica.

The house is very nice. Nice decoration. Two big beds. Parking just in front of the lodge. Washing machine available. Very calm but close to the main road. Friendly host.

What a lovely tranquil place. Build by a local family and very well taken care of. A hidden or actual unhidden gem. The animals we saw on the premise were awesome to see during our stay and enhanced the experience.

We absolutely loved this little lodge in the rainforest. We saw so many incredible birds and loved listening to the howler monkeys in the distance as we lay in our beds. The home was spotlessly clean and the hosts were absolutely lovely, welcoming us on arrival and responding promptly to any questions. It was great to have access to a washing machine, and for a small additional fee, the hosts dried and folded all our washing for us which was very kind as we'd struggled to dry clothes in the humidity. Would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone staying in the Rio Celeste area.

Such a wonderful setting. The jungle! The toucans! The beauty! Perfectly clean gorgeous chalets. We loved it! And amazing perk toys for the little one to borrow.

This accommodation is absolutely stunning! We felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. The space is incredibly spacious, cozy, and impeccably maintained. It’s also well-equipped with everything you might need. On top of that, the staff is wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Quaint little cabins - all homemade furniture. Well equipped but small kitchen. Very quiet and off the main roads. Gracious host.

The hosts were so kind and helpful. Gave a personal touch that lots of Airbnb/hotels are missing. Cabin in on a plot of land where the host and his family all live. Lots of birds to be seen right outside the cabin. Cabin itself was clean and view from loft was great. Has air conditioning and a washing machine which is an added bonus. Would definitely stay again if I returned to the area!!

We just loved our short stay here! The lodge was beautifully made with so many nice details, realy showing some great skills. The kotchen was fully equippes although we did not use it. The owners were lovely people. And the welcome with wine and chocolate was amazing! Unfortunately it rained heavily for most of our stay but we had a small window to listen to and watch birds in the morning.

“Excellent place where to stay”

Beautiful chalet, secluded enough to see monkeys and beautiful birds but close enough to town and to Parque Volcan Tenorio to make it convenient. Hosts were very kind and clearly willing to work on any single detail to make the stay enjoyable (a bottle of rose as a gift upon arrival, games for kids, a full well equipped kitchen... nothing was missing). I highly recommend the place.

“The Kindest Hospitality We've Ever Encountered!”

Our family travels nearly half the year, across continents and lodging types, and NEVER have we received such a warm, thoughtful, and over-the-top welcome! I mentioned when booking that we'd be staying the night of our youngest daughter's 2nd birthday. Some accommodations place a little note in the room; I thought it'd be a nice touch for her baby book. The host reached out prior to our arrival stating they'd do a little something for her and I was already so touched. But when we arrived, we walked into a chalet filled with personalized balloons, a birthday sign, cupcakes, a candle, AND a note. Needless to say, both our girls were elated and my husband and I were completely blown away by the host's care and love toward our littlest. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! You made a long travel day so special, and a little girl's 2nd birthday an unforgettable one! On another note, the chalet itself is beautiful: modern, nicely situated in nature, and possibly the best-equipped rental we've ever stayed in. They have every kitchen appliance under the sun, a very obvious 1st aid kit (just in case), and a wonderful washer out back. Even more impressive is how spotlessly clean the place was - we were amazed! We'd highly recommend!
