Beautiful location and gardens with a delicious breakfast and very kind staff who allowed us to check in 20 mins after booking - very flexible and the rooms had a lovely charm. We would certainly stay again!

We were travelling with two large dogs, and at first our hostess seemed alarmed, wanting them on a leash the moment they left the car, but she soon understood how well-trained they are. Her concern was for the chickens she keeps, on the other side of the house and once she knew they were safe she became very obliging, showing us a long walk along a beautiful avenue of trees where they could walk off the lead. To find such a quiet spot so close to a city (Poitiers) was a joy and very relaxing. The rooms (we had a sort of ground-floor suite) were spacious and comfortable. This is a period property and a family residence – you have to accept the lack of modern conveniences (no television, slow WiFi, no power shower) to benefit from its beauty and the atmosphere that comes with it. People with poor mobility might have difficulty getting into the bath, whether to lie in it or stand for a shower. Breakfast was served in a fine room full of fascinating objects, such as a showcase of family christening cups and teething rings. The breakfast was very good, the croissants warm, the bread fresh, the coffee good and served in an elegant jug. Our hostess was attentive, even insisting that we take with us anything from the table and fruit bowl we didn't eat. I'd strongly recommend the Logis as an experience, though you may well at moments that you've wandered into a documentary.

The property was attached to a large chateau in the middle of the French countryside and was beautiful. a hidden gem. Comfy bed. The lady who owned it and her sister were delightful but remember to say ‘Bonjour Madame’ and not just ‘Bonjour’! We had a good chat and the owner taught me some French. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms very quirky and very French. A very good breakfast.

The elegance of the sitting-room was perfect, with wonderful furnishings and interesting displays. Our hostess was welcoming and the cleanliness of everything was well-nigh unbelievable, given the complexity of the room-arrangements. The setting was both gracious and very impressive, absolutely quiet amidst spacious grounds, understated in the old-fashioned way I appreciate. No modern make-overs here!

As it happened, we had leave early. Our problem not the hosts. The room was really nice. With a full ensuite a bath tub, not just a shower. Beautiful surroundings. Really nice home with lots of history. But the it was the host, she was such a nice person so friendly and really made us fell welcome. She make the place great. I hope I get a chance to stay in the future.
