Toni is a lovely and very attentive host who takes great care of his guests. The house has been beautifully restored and is comfortably furnished. It's well worth a visit.

“Wonderful stay”

The place is absolutely lovely. The sounds, the smell of the house, the decorations on the walls, all brought back fond memories of my time spent in and around Sibiu as a child. The view from the garden is spectacular, beds super comfortable, the garden itself beautiful. And the hosts very welcoming and kind. We had a great stay and would definitely come back to try the ciubăr, which was sadly not working during our trip. Be advised this is a traditional house, not a hotel, so bring your own shampoo, shower gel and other extras you think you might need. They do have soap in a soap dispenser that’s not plastic, which is great. They do provide a hair dryer. There is also a kitchen with a fridge where you can store food and where you can make your own coffee if you want. We chose to have it at the restaurant that’s close by and is also managed by the hosts. For an extra charge you can also have a hearty breakfast over there. We had fried eggs which were cooked spot on, cheese, salami, tomato that tasted like proper tomato, butter, bread and a delicious apple jam.

Nice, clean and comfortable property with outdoor space to sit, eat and relax. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

“No exactly what I expected”

I’ll just give a list of things I found surprising: 1. No sign outside so we passed it 3 times; a local took pity on us and pointed to the house 2. Parking is across the street on some empty grassy yard 3. There is a common kitchen that has a stove but we were told we could not use the stove 4. There was no way I could see the host as hospitable. Not unpleasant either but we did not feel particularly welcome. 5. This is interesting: the door to the bathroom is a sliding door with a serious gap between the door and the frame such as you could just take a look inside if you wanted to. As one can imagine the sounds from the bathroom are unobstructed. 6. I was asked to walk to another place to pay. 7. The hot tub (ciubăr) was cash only 8. This is my fault: there is a huge discrepancy in between what I thought Biertan will be like (a more afluent, nicely looking village) and reality: a quite poor and rundown village with plenty of shacks, stray dogs and just poverty (nobody’s fault but that is the reality) We did not visit the church as it is not our thing but it did offer a nice view from the hot tub in the nighttime. To end on an up beat: everything was very clean!

The place is located near the fortified church of Biertan, so the view from the garden is a spectacular one. Everything was spotless clean by the time we arrived, the room was very neat and comfortable, we had a very good night's sleep. The shared kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for your trip, and the place also has a beautiful garden, with swings, tables and chairs, a place for barbecue. Host was very nice, we had very good communication, and she gifted us their homemade jam when we left, a very sweet gesture. We'll definitely come back!

Exceptional experience. Beautiful small and quiet village, very nice people. Magneficent view from the house, expecially at night. Everything was clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen also. Nice yeard. Super friendly and helpful owner.
