The property was great. Really clean and comfortable and the food served was delicious. Sonia helped arrange all my tours for really good value. I was lucky to see so much wildlife in the national park which is 5/10 minutes away.

Fantastic value for money. Excellent staff. Very attractively laid out place. Accommodation is almost free. They make their money from the trips and no problem with that. The best range of safaris in the area and they can be customized. We throroughly enjoyed our private rafting and camping trip on the Bardiya river and didn't see another tourist! The countryside tour was also unexpectedly fun and actually more interesting than the standard jeep safari.

The excellent reviews are all deserved for this homestay. Sonja, Budhi, and their staff are wonderful hosts. We had a large room with a bathroom that was better than most hotels. Rooms are set in a lovely garden. Meals are very good, also. Trips into the national park are well organized, and Bale, our guide, is very knowledgeable and great company. There are whole range of other activities that can be arranged. You can't go wrong staying here.

Thank You Very Much, it's like saying nothing... 20 out of 10 possible points won't reflect the experiences I had here!!! Simply-you have to stay there for a while to experience it all. “Very Friendly owners and staff, and the option to do wonderful activities in the national park”

very nice owners and staff. They have a very nice dining area with good food. most importantly, the guesthouse can organise all kinds of activities in the national park. we did the jungle walk, jeep safari, and a night in the treehouse. The guides employed by the guesthouse are excellent. I would love to stay here again if I come back to Nepal.

I had a great stay! The guides make their best to meet your fauna & flora watching interests. The food is good, the room is simple but comfortable, and Sonja is a great host. She provides all the assistance you need before and during the stay. If you wanna a nice safari or jungle walk experience in Bardiya, or just a relaxing time in the countryside, go for Bardia Homestay! Highly recommended

“Best experience of our lives !”

Everything was perfect ! First the staff is amazingly friendly and we would like to thank you again Sonja, Buddhi and Manmohan. The cleaning lady and the rest of the staff were also very nice and helping. The room itself looks better than the pictures and was very confortable. Since they provide free filtered water, meals and card payements it is not a problem to be a little bit away from the village. If you still need to go there it is a 20-25 min walking distance. The big bonus of the stay is the fire place which encourage all guests to talk and share their adventure ! The meals were very good with reasonable prices and large choice. Finnaly, the hosts organised 3 days of safari (both jeep and walking) in Bardia and it was truly thé best experience of our lives (not kidding) for very reasonable prices (even for quite low backpackers budgets like us). We want to give a last special thanks to Manmohan which was our incredible guide for this adventure. Thank you again for being so nice and helpful with us. We really hope that we will come back one day 😊

Room was spacious. Garden was nice and well maintained. The tours they offer are very good, with friendly and knowledgeable guides, prices of the tours are good. Stayed here for 4 nights, but could easily stayed longer if we had the time

Everything! Owners and guides went above and beyond to help us get the most out of our stay in the time that we had. We couldn't have felt more looked after. Their knowledge was outstanding. Close to the national park entrance so it didn't take long before we were inside the park in the morning. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was all home cooked and were delicious. We had a beautiful farewell too. We highly recommend Bardia Homestay.

We highly recommend staying at Bardia Homestay. The host and staff are very nice and really make an effort to make you feel at home! As it concerns a homestay, there are not too many rooms and therefore it feels more personal. There is a spacious common garden with a relaxed vibe. We went two days with one of the guides on a jungle trek, which we really enjoyed

We loved our stay. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Rooms are big and the all place is well looked after. We had the best jungle safari with Bale, we couldnt have a better guide!

“Warm Welcome with Adventure”

Budhi and Sonja are excellent an attentive hosts. There good communication before my arrival. The atmosphere is very welcoming, with a lovely garden with a fire pit to keep the chills away. The food was delicious and I ate outside in the garden every day. The Homestay is set in a rural location with many authentic farms/homesteads within walking distance. There was a vast range of activities from walks to various safari's and all arranged by the Homestay. I was lucky enough to see a Tiger along with many other animals and birds on one of the walking safari's in Bardia National Park. The room was clean and spacious and I really appreciated the ethical/sustainable attitude towards waste here.

Very pretty homestay - taking breakfast outside under the rising sun was lovely. The owners were very helpful and allowed us early check in as well as late check out, much appreciated! Chef prepared us a great dinner to take away and eat next to the river at sunset, using reusable metal containers so no plastic waste :)

We love it here! Sonja, Buddhi and their staff are all wonderful. Very welcoming, friendly and trustworthy (I left my laptop with them for a couple weeks while we went trekking in the far west - all good - thanks again guys!) The rooms are exquisitely clean (some of the cleanest I've found in the country) and the place is so pretty & relaxing. We didn't do any jungle activities this time as we just wanted to chill but there was no pressure. However, the prices seemed very reasonable. Next time! The location is perfect. The garden is idyllic. We stayed longer because we liked it so much!
