“Typical Raja - basic but ok”

The hammock, good size room, bathroom had actual shower head, staff responded quickly in organizing a new mattress after the first night as it was impossible to sleep on.

This was the most comfortable stay in Raja Ampat we had. We got the bungalow with the sea view, which made the stay even better. There was plenty of food and it was delicious. The family that runs the homestay is kind and will be able to arrange everything you need. Sophie who is cooking the most tasty food is the nicest and happiest person that will just brighten up your day. The bungalow was clean and spacious. The electricity was actually running from 7pm to 7am which was the first time for us in Raja Ampat as we normally experienced electricity to be turned off after a few hours into the night.

Beautiful Homestay on the most incredible island. Arborek is really a (not so) hidden gem! The Homestay is perfectly located on the island, on the better side for snorkelling (it has its own jetty and the corals are best on that side). The property is clean (they clean common spaces constantly), the food is good (fresh fish and veg everyday), and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nothing nicer than lying in a hammock overlooking the pristine ocean! I even saw a whale from the patio!

We had a beautiful experience staying at this homestay in Arborek. The bungalow was very comfortable and clean with a nice terrace The food was excellent – fresh, tasty, and plentiful. Every meal was well prepared, with fresh fish and local dishes, and there was always enough for everyone. The owners were very kind and helpful. They made us feel welcome from the first moment and were always ready to assist with anything we needed They also offered us for free with their boat a snorkeling trip in 3 places We would definitely come back and highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Raja Ampat!

“Sehati is good value for money.”

Sehati is located on Arborek Island, offering a look at a local village which the people keep neat and friendly. You can take a walk and have a beer at the main jetty. They had overbooked and accommodated us nextdoor, which was nice. As snorklers we linked up with 2 others and took boat and snorkling trips with our kind and helpful local Jeffrey.

“Felt Unwelcome at the End of My Stay”

Arborek is a great island to start your trip in Raja Ampat. It has beautiful coral reefs and a wonderful island vibe.

The marina just behind the homestay offers plenty of reef biodiversity and colors for snorkeling enthusiasts, and you can spot mantas when the conditions align.

No one gave us information about the property and any other elements, like wifi, food schedules etc... Yet lucky some friends did the tour for us. At days, food was not enough and a bit more fruits would be appreciated. 2 showers and toilets for 8 rooms is a bit tight and same at diner time, we did not have enough seats to eat all together and that is a shame!

Friendly hosts. Help you with everything. They offer the cheapest and great tours in RA. Try to combine transport and a Tour to make it more cheap for you. We got the front bungalow which was great. We saw Mantas from there and swam with them on the Reefdrop. We stayed for a week. The last two days there was a huge french group who plundered the buffet but never finished their plates. So the chef was cooking extra portions for me and kept it in the kitchen for us if we were late. I would go there again:)
