Very sweet family! Took us on a really fun day trip to piaynemo and all other snorkeling spots. The food was really good and the houses had pretty view!!

“Homestay Paradise, swinging in a hammock”

Beautiful homestay with a sunset view. The family who own and run it are so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and plentiful. They do a number of snorkeling tours, but we had already planned to dive but they kindly transported us to and from the dive centre each day. However we did do the early morning jungle tour/walk and we were lucky enough to see Birds of paradise and a Cuscus!! There is lovely village you go to and they have a number of small stores you can buy snacks.

“A beautiful place with staff who do their very best to give us a wonderful experience.”

The staff is amazing, very friendly, and several of them speak English. The excursions organized by the homestay are excellent, and the team really makes an effort to create beautiful experiences. For example, they actively search for manta rays, accompany guests during snorkeling, and choose the best snorkeling spots depending on the level, weather, currents, and tides. There’s easy access to the village from the homestay, which is convenient for small purchases (cold beers, snacks, homemade fruit juice made by the local school, etc.). The food was good. The place is being renovated, with new showers and toilets under construction. The jetties are also being upgraded. The rooms don’t all offer the same level of comfort, as some have been improved with new bed frames, new mattresses, deck chairs, and light switches. The staff stood up for us when our next homestay (which had overbooked) tried to scam us. They truly have strong values, and we’re very grateful to them for protecting and defending us.

The hut above water was nice. We even had a big sun bed. The food was tasty and plenty. Afternoon snack was nice. The family was friendly. The village kids were friendly.

“Ddefinetely recommended”

We stayed here for 6 nights and we did not regret it. The family is very lovely, they will help you out with all things and have a good sense of humour. The food was great and they made so many vegetarian plates which were all very tasty. They kept on changing the dishes and there was always plenty. The house we stayed in was on top of the water and very peaceful. It felt like a home away from home. Thank you 🙏🏼

“Great homestay, very nice family!”

Great homestay, great location, the view from the bungalow is beautiful, sunset every night, we even saw dolphins and mantas passing in front of the bungalow. Fernando and his family are very very nice, very helpful. They are very caring and do their best to make you have a good time. The food was good, snacks are also served at 4:30pm. They offer snorkeling tours, they are great, you even have a guide from the family with you! He found mantas twice ❤️. We really loved our stay at Nyanse homestay and highly recommend you to stay there! You can also visit the villages behind which is also very nice!

Very nice family who run the Homestay. They manage to arrange every tour or transport you need . The son of Ferdinand, Alvaro took us to his school just next to the Homestay. The school is founded by a Swiss guy who educates children from the islands and teaches them in English and raises awareness about environmental and marine protection. Very impressive and worth visiting.

“An aquarium under your hut!, unforgettable natural and cultural experience”

Incredible location, great experience staying with family, good food, availability of laundering ,comfortable mattress, terrific tours from homestay and charming local community, wonderful cultural experience ( local primary school had dance and singing performance.)

Our stay was wonderful!! The family that hosted us are wonderful, lovely people with big hearts, the place is ideally located, in beautiful surroundings. We felt like in paradise! The food was very good and very much! The room was spacious and clean, the mattress comfortable. The views were amazing :) Ferdinand knows very good coral reefs on Raja Ampat and took us to beautiful places - the snorkeling was amazing! “A secluded slice of paradise”

The location is incredible, there’s 2 villages either side a short walk away so you can get snacks and drinks if you want, but it’s so quiet at night, the only thing you can hear is the birds and the fish jumping out the water. The food was amazing, the portions were very generous, they make an effort to notice what your favourite things are and then make them again for you. The family are so sweet and really make an effort to help you with anything you ask.

“Peaceful and very enjoyable stay at a unique location”

We really loved staying at Nyanse homestay! Food is plentiful (3 main meals + snack time at 4:30pm), you will definitely not starve here and everything is delicious. Their overwater bungalows, located inside Gam’s particular mangroves, are spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with hammocks to enjoy the best sunset. Bathroom and shower are shared but still very good. We highly recommend doing the tours they offer. Ferdinand, the homestay’s owner, knows the best snorkeling places and will be your guide in the water. We really enjoyed snorkeling with him and all the underwater life he showed us. Even one night he took a torch to explore the nightlife around the mangroves, we found so many creatures! You can also do snorkel at night if you are adventurous enough. The homestay is placed between to villages that you can visit to see the local life, I even played football with the kids and had so much fun. It is also possible to go see the Red Birds of Paradise, it’s less than a 30min walk that you do with a guide in the morning before sunrise. Just know that these birds are more active during a certain time of the year. Alvaro, Ferdinand’s son, can help at times with communication as he is the one that speaks fairly good English. All in all, staying at Nyanse was a beautiful local experience that we highly recommend. Thanks so much for such a amazing time!

We had a wonderful stay at Nyanse Homestay! The food is delicious, plentiful, and very varied. There are also many vegetarian options. The family is very friendly, and there are excursions available. We booked a jungle tour and snorkeling with manta rays, and we were not disappointed. We also saw blacktip reef sharks near the homestay. The restrooms are functional but clean, and there was always plenty of hand soap and toilet paper. If the village generator fails, Nyanse Homestay can produce electricity with its own generator, so you have light and can charge your phone overnight. We recommend Nyanse Homestay 100% and would return anytime.

Great location above the water! We even saw bioluminescence at night. Always fish and other sea creatures to admire! Can walk to see the Red bird of paradise (bit slippery be careful) Good food, kind hosts!

“Great Stay & Nice Food”

I had a bungalow on the end which had a nice breeze, the food was good flavoursum with three meals plus snacks/cake in the afternoon. There are two villages with very little, small shop selling a few basic things, the people were all nice.

“Not so interesting”

Bungalow was ok, not enough space. Bathroom very basic , but ok. We had rats around, and saw some near the kitchen. Very strong current at coming high tide, which was not possible to swim or snorkel. Lots of damaged corals for whatever reason.
