“Good location but basic facilities”

Our experience with this property was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, we discovered that neither towels nor bed linen were provided. This was not mentioned in the property description during the booking process. The host later informed us by message that these items were not included and offered to provide them for an additional €45. As travelers arriving by plane, we do not consider it reasonable to bring our own towels and bed linen, and this information should have been clearly disclosed before booking. When we asked for these basic amenities, which are normally expected in a holiday rental, the host reacted aggressively. Simply because we stated that towels and bed linen must be included and brought free of charge she demanded that we leave immediately, called us disrespectful, and sent insulting messages. Although she eventually agreed to provide the items, the bed linen appeared dirty and was left on the floor near the entrance door. The apartment itself was also not clean: the floors were dirty and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower. As frequent travelers who have rented apartments in many countries, we have never experienced such treatment from a host. We cannot recommend this accommodation due to the host's attitude, the lack of transparency regarding basic amenities, and the poor overall standard of cleanliness and hospitality.

It is difficult to think of anything that we liked because the host was putting so much pressure on us and sending weird messages that we should agree with her that there are no towels or sheets and we should clean the house while threatening to kick us out if we didn't reply quickly enough. There's absolutely no internet at the property and no phone signal so I had to go out to the centre to call her and calm her down in my broken French because we'd been on the motorbike all day and needed the place to rest.

The entry instructions sounded like an escape room challenge but it was actually very easy and straightforward! The apartment was much better than we expected. Clean, well equipped with plenty of hot water and heating if needed. Right next to the beach with sea views and a nice balcony that got the morning sun. Very convenient for the ferry. .
