The apartment is remote (no traffic), quiet and on a small farm, which also means work can start early. You have multiple seating areas to enjoy the garden, sun or shadow. It is very clean, has lots of storage space (big cupboard) and an air-condition. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator + freezer. Safe parking is available in the gated property. The owner was present for any questions and was very kind!

Oh well.....where do we start? If we could give it a 20 we would give it a 20. A calm, relaxed and homely countryside appartment. A perfect point to visit Matera and other historic places. Superbly set up by Angelo and his family and a real joy with all his lovely animals around. We felt right at home with his hospitality and his incredibly warm personality. We were treated not like customers but like family. Angelo is an amazing man. Our stay there gives us no choice.....we will return from New Zealand! 😄 Millle grazie Angelo. Ci vediamo!

“Countryside charm”

The location in complete countryside, for a while there were only our family and the different animals in the property - was nice experience being greeted by the donkeys in the morning and having dinner with the dog and his (not always) friends cats. The property is well equipped, outside area with hammocks and several places to sit down, swing for smaller children, even some outside toys for kids. The owner Angelo is very friendly and nice man, always willing to assist his guests and making sure we feel good.

Amazing scenery filled with green,trees and farm animals. The house was clean and spacious. With proper heating and cooling although we did not use it. Full kitchen appliances and cozy furniture. Mr Angelo is very charming and helpful as is his family.

“A unique experience.”

Angelo was the perfect host, always on hand if you needed him. The small complex set in the countryside and offering peace and tranquility, contains 1 x 2 bedroom apartment and 1 x 1 bedroom apartment and our room which was described as a double room with garden views. Our double room turned out to be a massive one-room apartment with a new kitchen and dining area and a good size shower room. Outside the gardens are extensive and fully enclosed so we didn't have to worry about our dogs wandering off. Outdoor dining and seating areas under the shade of the Mulberry tree are on offer for all to use. Also in the enclosure were Gigi the dog, two donkeys, and a horse called Samantha. Chickens galore. It's almost a petting zoo so if you have small kids, they'll love it. It truly is one of the best places we've stayed. A unique experience. A big thank you to Angelo and his family.

Everything about our stay here is wonderful! .The house owner is super friendly Italian. He does not speak English but very proactive to communicate to us with google translate that made things so much easier. Very caring. .We stayed for one night only and regretted not to stay for another days. Our kids love playing with the dog, the cats, horse. They have also turtle, chickens and rabbits. The garden is so big with olive trees, hammocks, parking and a small playground for kids which allow you to spend the time to the fullest here. . The house is big and super clean, kitchen ready for ones who want to cook. . Cherry on top that the owner makes also organic olive oil himself so we bought 5liters and be happy about it ( i could have swept 20liters but we do not have much space in our car and need to drive a long way). . 20mins away to the beach which is fine

“A wonderful experience!”

Our host was very polite, helpful and kind. He contacted us to help us for reaching the destination, meet us to give us the keys and show us the property and the premises. He was there at the time of our departure to help us in any question we had and greet us. The house was in a very quite area inside the nature, not far from the Ancient site of Metaponto. Parking was available in the property. The house had air-condition, hot water and was extremely clean. My family and me were very satisfied. Outside there were toys for the children, which made our child very happy. Leaving the area we were happy to consider that we made a new friend.

Angelo is the kindest host - he showed us his property, had us try grapefruits, nespole, and lemons straight from the trees, we got to pet his horse and donkey and chill out in the beautiful garden and patio. The property is in a convenient position to visit Matera, Taranto, Metaponto, Policoro, Craco, Tursi, Aliano… Highly recommended for short and long stays, with kids and not!

“Fantastic!”

It was a great stay! Angelo runs the property with love, he makes sure you feel at home.The children had lots of space to play in the garden, with even a small playground and different kinds of animals in it. Dog Gigi was the children's favourite. The apartment was very clean and everything we needed was there. We had bad weather on some days, but the pallet heating made the place cozy. Also the smart tv made the rainy moments easier to stay inside with the kids. The terrace has a small roof over it, so we could even sit outside. We got a tour on his land by Angelo himself, this was a super experience. The surroundings are very peaceful, the village Bernalda is also really nice to visit, it has a big market, definitely worth a visit! We would come back any time.

“Outstanding!”

The cleanest apartment on our whole trip! A lovely, beautiful and well cared for estate surrounded by lemon and orange trees greatly situated for cultural tourists to Matera, Acerenza, Castelmezzano, Craco, Rocca Imperiale etc while also rather close to the beach. The apartments are in top condition and very comfortable. We loved the clever pellet heating system. The owner is a really lovely older man with a huge heart who made us feel welcome and at home! Our whole family instantly fell in love with him :-). The place is great for families with smaller children as it has a fenced in garden area with a small playground and there are a lot of friendly animals (1 horse, 2 donkeys, 1 lovely dog, chicken and some very friendly cats). The cats and the dogs are well trained and while always looking for contact they would never think about entering the apartments,

“Wonderful stay”

Angelo's house was definitively the best place we have stayed. Angelo has prepared the appt, turned in the heating in advance, greeted us upon arrival. Unfortunately we in the way back home and needed to leave the next day. Angello and Gianluca showed us the garden and the animals, gave us oranges, lemons and more... It was a wonderful experience to stay there.

Angelo's country house is located is a peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing journey in the countryside while being closed to the sea! The house has everything needed, with comfy beds and very well equiped kitchen and bath, as well as a nice pellet stove to feel comfy. The hosts were super kind and welcoming 😃 In the morning we had the chance to pet the cute donkeys, dogs and cats 😊

A ‘gem’ of a place! modern, restored family house/ with self contained apartments in a small holding with resident donkey and horse, cats and a dog! clean and efficient in rural setting, ideal for families who want to get away from hustle and bustle of city life! Enjoyable stay and great communication with owner. the property offers everything ranging from pizza oven out doors and bbq area to play area for kids. lovely attention to detail to make for an enjoyable stay for those who like country living. Not far from historical towns and sea side. the property offers home made wines, olive oil, freshest of eggs from resident chucks too! this place will not disappoint you for sure. we enjoyed our stay enormously and we’re sorry to leave!
