I book the hotel as we were traveling from A to B and needed a stay for the night with dog walks, after a long day drive. My dog and I had wonderful walks. The area is for active nature lovers.

I like hotel accomodation. It is not first time we were here. One inconvenience is that hotel staff almost don't speak english. Sometimes we need to come in the same day that decide to come and call to hotel, but they didn't understand english.

Located about a 15 minute walk (bus available) from the end of the tram 68 route, in peaceful woodland with lake frontage. Not the best location if you want to be in central Berlin every day but great if you want to visit occasionally or just enjoy the countryside.

“Time-warp!”
We actually liked the time warp.experience...the main foyer is liking walking back into a set of an early James Bond movie... not so much retro design but the original pieces still in situ. The rooms had a hospital ward feel about them (was a former university) so quite basic and industrial in nature. The whole place feels a little run down, short of funds or visitors, couldn't tell which. However the view and location is beautiful, right on the lake. The staff were very friendly (our best experience in Germany to date). Breakfast was fine, some hot choices. Would visit the area again, maybe even the hotel, especially if it can drag itself into this century.
