Top location if you don't want to stay in the city centre but still want to stay somewhere vibrant, friendly and helpful staff, lots of shops and restaurants around, bus and train 5 min. walk

Location excellent. Lovely and quiet with a rather dainty internal courtyard. Breakfast excellent with everyone seated around an enormous old table in a room with beautiful old furniture. Plenty of choices. Host was excellent also.

It’s a lovely property, converted to be used as a hotel, and retaining the original character. The breakfast is very good, cereal. Boiled eggs, cheese, cold meats, toast, bread, jam, coffee, pure orange juice, yogurts, a perfect start to the day. The Location is excellent, in an affluent area, close to s-Baun and also walking distance to lots of restaurants including the excellent alt Berliner biersalon. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The location and district are great-close to the center and Zoo. The House is like antique museum-place with the Heart.

Excellent location... I came back for a second time in two years to stay here... they gave me a better, more spacious room, the breakfast was nice and enjoyed conversations with fellow travellers and even made friends with a few of them. Not to mention the friendly staff. As I wasn't well when I arrived, the owner gave me a kettle to have "as much hot water to drink as you like"!

We stayed at this hotel in a fantastic location – without a doubt the best place we’ve stayed at in Berlin so far. The building itself is truly impressive and it’s hard to imagine a more authentic setting. We had exactly the courtyard view we were hoping for and absolutely loved it. The accommodation was spotless, not a single speck of dust. Breakfast was very good, with a kind and attentive staff and plenty of options, including for vegetarians. We recommend this place to everyone we meet, and if we ever return to Berlin, we will definitely stay here again. This trip is especially meaningful to us because we got engaged here :) We are sure we’ll be coming back to celebrate many times in the future.

The hotel was on the 2nd floor which surprised me.The dining room had that old world feel to it.Prewar furniture..Wonderful atmosphere.
