Not sure there is a best location, all depends on what you're doing in such a large city, but Ku'damm was fine. Good sized room and shower room, comfortable bed, all very clean and tidy.

At the first evening of our stay we couldn't unlock the front door when we enetered the hotel. It was broken. Nobody answered the phone to tell us how to enter the hotel. The staff didn't tell that there is additional key for the door.

“Horrible, full of drain flies in the bathroom.”
There where drain flies all over the bathroom. And when I talked to the person at the desk I was told “that happens if you leave the window open”. The bathroom did not have a window and I didn’t open it. He gave me some bug spray to kill them. When I went to him again telling him that more just kept coming he told me he could die nothing about it. It was horrible I stay in hotels all over Berlin regularly but have never seen bugs or flies in any hotel.

The location is ideal to commute into the city centre for its price as it is right next to the Adenauerplatz metro station with many restaurants nearby. Also my flight was delayed and the man on reception kindly kept the check in desk open until 10:30pm so I could check in so great service.
