“Great stay!”

Perfect accommodation for a quick stop in Bergues, the host was friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Good communication if we needed anything! The apartment was very clean and spacious. The secure parking was a bonus too!

This is a really nice apartment in a great town - we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bergues. The apartment is nicely decorated and unusually well equipped - we had everything we needed for a short stay and found it easy to prepare food in the kitchen. It's on the ground floor, so no stairs to navigate and it feels very secure with window catches and shutters. The location is great, within easy walking distance of the centre and on a quiet street.

Location is great to get to the town centre. Hosts gave great insight to the town and surrounding areas.

Very nice property, Eric was very helpful with some local tips. It has private parking and internal yard with some trees ideal if you have a dog

“Attractive and atmospheric old building in the heart of the attractive town of Bergues”

Lovely attractive and characterful converted school buildling with tall ceilings, large windows, tastefully decorated and refurbished. The town of Bergues is lovely and the apartment was well-located to walk into town, visit the market, walk by the river, go to the local restaurant etc. We were just there for one night on our way from Calais to Holland/Germany and would definitely return. Friendly and helpful host who met us to provide the keys. It is well-placed for those arriving in Calais or Dunkirk. Free parking on site.

“Pretty Village”

The fact that it was self contained and everything was there that we needed to eat, drink and sleep. Robin was lovely and told/showed us what we needed to know. The local area is so pretty and people very friendly. There is a Carrefour about 10 minutes away. We stopped for a drink in Le Paddock and was made to feel welcome. The car park is located at the back of the property in a safe gated courtyard.

Beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Eric welcomed us with a comprehensive briefing on the gite and the town of Bergues and then left us alone to enjoy ourselves.

The welcome from Eric was wonderful. After a long drive from the UK, he arrived within 5 minutes of us calling him. He told us all about Bergues - restaurants, shops and tourist sights. Eric speaks English perfectly and that helps a weary traveller. The property was modern, comfortable with pods of coffee in abundance and complimentary local apple juice or beer. The car was close by in a secure private car park.
