Offering stunning views of the Bavarian Alps, Ferienparadies Alpenglühn features a children’s play area with trampoline. Guests can enjoy the hot tub and on-site spa with sauna and outdoor pool. The town of Berchtesgaden is located directly by the Watzmann Mountain, the third-highest mountain in Germany. The Berchtesgaden National Park is popular with Nordic walkers and hikers. The Austrian town of Hallein, famous for its salt mine, is a 15-minute drive across the German-Austrian border. Lake Chiemsee can be reached in 40 minutes by car via the A8 motorway.

“Beautiful property in the Bavarian alps”
Beautiful setting with a very accommodating host. The pool area was wonderful after a day of hiking in the hills. The apartment was very well equipped giving us a much needed rest from restaurant meals.

The Watzmann apartment was well-appointed, spacious and spotlessly clean. Facilities and Alpengluhn were excellent as was the breakfast. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk from the centre of Berchtesgaden; take the route past the salt works.

“Lovely spacious apartment with pool and spa in perfect location.”
We had a lovely stay at Alpenglühn. The apartment is very spacious and we loved the pool, especially after a day’s hiking in the mountains. It is in a perfect location to explore the area around Berchtesgaden and the Königssee as it is on the main bus route and the buses are free with the Berchtesgaden guest card.

“Great views and attentive host”
We stayed at a top floor "cave" apartment for a night and had a very comfortable short stay. The location was close to the lake, the property had parking and amazing views. We had an authentic German roast dinner in the garden of the hotel, hosted by the owner himself. We had a great night and tasted some of home made beverages. Our stop in Konigssee was short, but Peter really made us feel welcome. It was a pleasure!

The accommodations were exactly as shown. Super comfortable firm bed and pillows that were just right. Kitchen was supplied with everything you would need. The sauna in the evening was wonderful. Highly recommend!

“A feeling of being a friend of the house, more than just a guest”
The combination af surroundings, facilities, service and quality will be a hard match anywhere. However, my bet is that you will be even harder pressed to find a match to the ever present host Peter, no matter where you look. He and his crew takes such great pride in your stay being perfect, in a way I have not met anywhere else. The perfect combination of personnal and professional. My only hesitation when recommending Alpenglühn, is the fact that I would like to keep it a secret, to make sure there will still be room for me…

This is my honeymoon trip and I'm so glad I booked this B&B. The boss is very attentive and helps with the decoration. There is also a sauna experience, which is really amazing. Thank you very much to the B&B owner for his thoughtfulness.

“Exeptional stay and wonderful host”
An extremely warm welcome from Peter (our host). He was exceptional. His knowledge of the area is second to none. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The property and facilities (Hot tub, swimming pool and sauna) were exceptional. Our room was spacious and very well appointed. Shower and separate bath and a Lovely comfortable bed. I really recommend this place. Thank you Peter for making us so welcome.

“Excellent hospitality in a conveniently located apartment”
Peter is a very friendly and helpful host. He goes out of his way to be accommodating We ate in the small dining room on 2 nights and enjoyed our meal- it is served at an exceptionally relaxed pace It’s location is perfect for visiting the salt mine and its a 10-15 min walk to town centre.
