The hosts, Francesca and Tommy, are both warm and welcoming. The location is beautiful, tucked away down a narrow track and road behind the main village. The food was delicious both in the evening and they adapt their set menus in order to cater for vegetarians. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

What a fabulous welcome from the owners! We had a lovely one night stay here to break our journey down from Switzerland with our boat. We were very happy to be able to have dinner at the hotel rather than having to head out again after such a long drive.

It was amazing and the hosts in particular. They prepared great dinner for us even we hadn’t booked it in advance. Finally Francesca took us back to Francigena by car what saved us from long(1.6m) and steep (~150m elevation) uphill climb . Grazie, grazie, grazie ❤️

Outstanding beautiful casa and Francesca is a lovely host. She even gave us a lift to the restaurant and brought our bags up the hill to the starting point when we were leaving. Her homemade yoghurt cake, honey & jams weren't bad either!!!

Lovely old stone villa surrounded by farm land and trees. Great location close to the town of Berceto. Delicious breakfasts prepared by the host using local produce and homemade bead. During our 4 day stay we were made to feel very welcome.

I loved Casa Cani…The welcome was wonderful. There was no problem checking in. I loved the room, so comfortable and up to date with plugs, great bathroom, wifi worked perfectly. I had prearranged dinner…it was delicious and just what I hoped for. It was not difficult to find, even in the rain. The road might be a little rough getting in but that is nothing new in the countryside. Casa Cani is a lovely property. I would love to see it in the spring and summer. They have a beautiful field of lavender and lots of trails to discover right out the front gate. The town is very close and there are lots of restaurants there. The breakfast was generous and delicious....I don't think you can beat it in the area....I will return for sure.

Gorgeous couple hosting the beautiful casa! Lovely rural setting in beautifully renovated and maintained accomodation. Dinner was made especially for me and was delicious!! The hosts were even kind enough to drive me back to the Via Francigena path in the morning to save me the walk back up the hill 🙏.
