Great location with a perfect view. Host is really friendly and the breakfast was delicious:) atmosphere is really nice and definitely would come again :) Free Parking is possible on the main road which is close to the accommodation

The family was very kind and generous. This was an intimate stay, as we stayed in one of two guest rooms in the family house. The hosts were very kind and served us a welcome snack and drink and large breakfast in the morning. The house was nestled on the hill and we felt immersed in the local community.

“Cozy family home with breathtaking terrace and authentic Albanian hospitality”

I stayed with my husband at Timo’s Guest House for two days and we were warmly welcomed with raki and homemade liqueur. The house itself is beautiful and has been in the family for three generations. Inside it is incredibly cozy, with a stunning wooden ceiling handcrafted by the host himself. The terrace is simply astonishing, offering breathtaking views of the river and the old town of Berat. The breakfasts were delicious, and the family was very friendly and welcoming. Our heartfelt conversations made the experience truly special, and we learned a lot about Albania and its culture. This was an unforgettable stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the genuine warmth of an Albanian family home.

It was a fantastically authentic building lovingly restored and in a great location to all the facilities and sites in Berat. We received a really warm welcome and would gladly revisit.

This place and its owners are simply charming, everyone were so kind the breakfast was amazing. The cleanest room I have ever seen in my many guests' houses stays. The lovely mother with an artist dad and their daughters were very welcoming they made us feel like home. Luciana gave us great suggestions, and the 300 family owned house is a master piece on its own, not to mention the handcrafted artworks made by the cutest dad ever. There are a few kittens around playing on the terrace and making everything seem more peaceful.

“Remarkable Experience in Berat”

The property is located in the heart of the old town, only 5min from city centre and from every attractions. Amazing views from the balcony, I didn’t wanted to leave from there day and night. George & Maria are great hosts and with their “little English” made us feel at home. They welcomed us with raki, liquor and jams made at their home. Breakfast so fresh and delicious like nowhere else we have been in Albania. I would highly recommend to whoever wants to experience true Albanian family spirit.

“Lovely and central home stay”

Lovely home stay with a welcoming Albanian family - Maria, George and their daughter Luciana who was visiting from Dublin. Prime location by the river overlooking the city with a fantastic view from the terrace and garden. Delicious homemade raki and preserved fruits were served when we first arrived and we ended with a wonderful breakfast of local pancakes, eggs, fruits and cheeses. To round out the experience we coincidentally booked an excellk cooking class with George’s sister, Nina, in the castle

A superb breakfast, made in the family's kitchen and enjoyed on the terrace, overlooking one side of Berat. The room had good air conditioning (essential!) and the shutters kept out all the light from outside.

Everything. If you want to stay with a kind, generous and beautiful family in their home with stunning views, stay here. They were welcoming and the view from the balcony is the best in the town! Outstanding breakfast and clean room, hot showers, comfy bed and air con. George, Muma and his daughters are the reason we loved Berat so much.

Excellent location. Walking distance to castle, old town, and promenade. Can't ask for a better host. Rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Very quiet location. Very good value for the money.

“The unique Berat”

The best welcoming and one of the best homemade breakfast we have ever had. When we arrived we offered local rakia and liker with local traditional sweet. The guest house is near the road. We found easily to park without charge in a totally safe area. The distance was 30-40meters and you have to carry the luggage in the traditional stone road . The room is giving you the sense of the old Berat. The view from the room and the terrace was excellent. We enjoyed the most the conversation with the daughter and the brother of the host in the breakfast. Near the guesthouse is everything you could need. Very clean and new bathroom

What can we say that hasn't already been said in the other reviews? We had a fantastic stay at Timo's, from the moment we walked in with the very warm welcome of raki on the terrace to the amazing breakfasts and warm hospitality. The hosts couldn't do more to make you feel welcome. The room was very clean and shower was decent, and you're welcome to use the terrace to enjoy a great view of the old town.

The location was great, with a good choice of on-street parking near. Hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic!! We also loved the two lovely cats, Sunny and Luna. We could not recommend this place enough!!

Wow, what a place. Perfect location, street parking on the bottom road and a short walk up. Warm welcome from the whole family. The room was absolutely beautiful. Traditonal decor with the most amazing view over berat. Of course like everyone else says, best breakfast on Albania. It's taken on the balcony overlooking the river and city. You can use this balcony whenever you like, perfect for a game of cards and a beer. Room expectionally clean. Great spot to start the walk up the hill to the castle. Very easy. Also very near to Lili's restaurant. Worth a trip to Albania just to visit Timos.
