“An authentic homestay with a very nice and helpful owner”

The owner was nice and very helpful giving me tips for climbing the volcano and local transportation. She helped me arrange a ride to the volcano and to Lake Toba with the excellent driver, Tico. The house is surrounded by a yard with beautiful plants, trees and a small coffee plantation. I love real homestays like this that directly help local people. The owner allowed me to keep a couple of things in her refrigerator which I appreciated and made breakfast for me on two occasions. She speaks English very well and we had some nice talks.

“Wonderful homestay with a superb host.”

This place is so nice. The room is clean and comfy. It also feels as if you're in the middle of nowhere but as soon as you walk 100m you're back in town. Gi is very helpful as she answers all your questions with great enthusiasm. It was also my son's birthday so I told her and asked her if she could do something for the occasion.I was not expecting what came out. She had bought a cake and cut up loads of fresh fruit as well as all the pakakes and eggs (very delicious). Gi was also able to put us in touch with an excellent guide called Erwan, who took us on a wonderful day hiking on Sibayak - he was brilliant with the children and made sure the day worked well for everyone. Gi also linked us with a driver called Tikko who did an excellent job of driving us around North Sumatra. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all it is a really nice place and we would definitely come back.

Host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She went out of her way to help us with a sick child. The homestay had a large tranquil garden despite the city being busy and noisy. The room was large and comfortable, easily slept 5. Host gave great recommendations for local food too.

“Super clean, cozy and comfortable”

Such a cozy place to stay. Very clean and the beds are comfortable and warm. Lovely hot water to shower with. The host is super helpful and provided us with anything we needed. We booked our full day trip with Erwin, recommended by our host. He and his team are amazing and I highly recommend them too. Town is 15 minute walk with lots of places to eat. Grab also deliver.

Cosy and clean away from the noise of town but easily accessible by foot.
