The accommodation was very nice. The rooms were bright and airy, with large glass walls on two sides that provided beautiful views of the surroundings in a good location. The host was friendly and welcoming. She arranged a massage and laundry for us. She prepared breakfast every morning. The breakfast was simple—toasted bread, one egg, and coffee—but considering the price, it was perfectly adequate.

We stayed here for one night to do the volcano trek the next morning. The owners are very kind and helpful, and also extremely responsive on Booking, answering all our questions very promptly. They assisted us in arranging our transfer to Lake Toba as well as organizing a guide for the volcano trek. Our guide and driver, Tiko, was truly excellent. He was able to answer all our questions during the hike, and was also great company throughout the trip. We really enjoyed the entire experience.

The best accommodation we stayed in during our travels. Everything was perfect. The hosts Gee & Stefan were so lovely- Gee kindly organised our onwards transfer to Lake Toba & also rented out a scooter to us. She cooked us pancakes for breakfast which were delicious. Stefan gave us local recommendations which was very helpful. Their home was absolutely beautiful. Very unique architecture. The location was great- 5 minute scooter from town, so it was away from the noise. The room was spotless, the sheets smelt so lovely, there was hot water for the shower & the bed was very very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Our stay here was amazing! We had just arrived from the Netherlands and took a taxi from Medan airport. Upon arrival, the host immediately asked if we needed a guide to go to the volcano, which we definitely wanted. She called Tico, and within 2 minutes everything was arranged. The next day we did a sunrise walk, and the day after that we had a driver who took us to Parapat so we could continue on to Samosir Island. A guide and taxi driver all in one! Tico spoke good English and explained everything very well. As two women, we felt very safe. Our host made pancakes for us every morning, and we had lovely conversations with her about life on Sumatra. She also spoke good English. The room and bathroom were very clean, and we slept well. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the center of Berastagi. This place absolutely deserves a 10! Highly recommended,

I booked this homestay last minute and I couldn’t have found a more perfect place. The room is absolutely gorgeous with a picturesque few and a lot of space. The hot shower was an amazing surprise and since it can get quite cold in Berastagi much needed. The best thing about the homestay is the owner, she’s so friendly and invited me to meet her friends. It was lovely and I will recommend this place to everybody!
