We really loved staying here. It’s a quirky homestay with lots of character and the hosts were particularly friendly and helpful.

Lovely homestay in a serene area. Hosts Stephen and Zie (and cat Milo) were very welcoming and kind. My room was up 2 flights of stairs and overlooking the trees. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Zie can prepare breakfast of eggs and toast or pancakes. Guesthouse is a 15 min walk into main town area (take the short cut).

The lovely couple who own the place were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they made us feel very welcome. We stayed there while hiking Mount Sibayak and had one of the top rooms upstairs. The room came with a beautiful terrace, which was a great place to relax. The building itself has a really nice design, and the whole property sits in the couple’s lovely garden, which makes the atmosphere very peaceful and special. Breakfast was simple but really good and a perfect start to the day before heading out. They also helped organize our hike with Erwin, who turned out to be an absolutely amazing guide, and arranged our onward transport to Bukit Lawang, which made everything very easy for us. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we would come back anytime.

The room was really beautiful and had such a comfortable bed (and a nice shower!). The balcony had a nice view and I even saw some monkeys in the garden! The host was so nice and was able to help me find a guide to mount Sibayak and transport to Parapat. There's a super cute cat walking around and it was just a great place to stay overall. I have nothing bad to say about this place, I absolutely recommend it

Lovely host who is so helpful and cooks a tasty breakfast with delicious homemade jams. Very comfortable room with a lovely terrace overlooking the garden. Erwin, our guide who took us up Mt. Sibayak for sunrise was great, and our host organised the most amazing massages after our trek there.

The room was beautiful and very confortable with a nice hot shower. The house is unique and very charming. I felt really welcomed and at home, the owners are very friendly. If you want, they also rent a motorbike and prepare breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and had a fabulous terrace — perfect for relaxing. The hot water shower was great, and everything felt very well kept. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful, which made our stay even better. By the way, be sure to have breakfast here — the delicious pancakes with homemade jam are a real treat, and you get to enjoy a wonderful chat with the hosts. I saw an earlier review claiming the place was hard to find and "a mess" — frankly, that’s nonsense. If you can use Google Maps, you’ll have no trouble getting here (we and other guests certainly didn’t). As for the so-called “mess,” that’s just a misunderstanding. On the way up to the guest rooms, you pass the owners’ living space, so you might see normal day-to-day life — a few things on the table, etc. The guest rooms themselves are perfectly clean and tidy. I highly recommend staying here, especially compared to other accommodation I’ve had in Sumatra — this place is a gem!

We loved that is was set outside of the busy town but still easy to access everything. The hosts really opened their home to us and they couldn’t have been more helpful. If you have time ask for a massage, it was brilliant. The house is very unique and we loved being up on the third floor surrounded by greenery. Don’t rush your trip you need at least 2 nights here.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and can honestly say it was one of the most magical places we've experienced during our long journey through Asia. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality by the owners, who immediately made us feel at home with their kindness and attentiveness. The room was extremely comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and the private balcony was a wonderful surprise - the perfect spot to relax surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views and peaceful serenity. A special thank you to Tikko, our driver who took us on an unforgettable tour the next day: from traditional villages to stunning waterfalls, all the way to magnificent Lake Toba. His friendly professionalism made the experience even more memorable! After months of traveling, we finally found a place where we could truly recharge, thanks to the intimate, family-like atmosphere here. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authenticity, comfort and a special connection with nature. We'll definitely return, and we hope everyone gets to experience the same magic we did!

“Beautiful place and super friendly hostess”

We stayed for three night at this beautiful homestay. The lady, Gi, is super friendly and heartwarming. We got a delicious fresh welcome drink when we arrived. There is a beautiful garden with a great variety of trees and plants and she will explain you everything about it. The room is comfortable with everything you need (including a warm shower). Gi knows a lot of people, for example a guide who can take you to several beautiful spots, like visiting the Gunung Sibayak vulcano or an old traditional village. The name of the guide is Erwin, a super friendly and funny man. We absolutely recommend this homestay!! The pictures don’t lie, it’s even better in real life!
