The bed was really comfortable and the view from the room was terrific. In the morning Ron let us leave our bags in a secure room when we left for Sibayak, which was very convienent.

Very kind and helpful staff. The view from the balcony is nice. Breakfast is good. Water is warm. A simple, but comfortable place to stay at.

The guest house with the friendliest and cutest staff and owner in Sumatra. The beds are the most comfy beds we had in Sumatra :) Best banana cake with good coffee in the morning!

Comfy beds, clean sheets, hot shower, great view on a clear sky day, please pay extra and take the rooms on top floor with balcony. Brace yourself for the insects and ants (you are literally living around rain forests and mountains and this is understandable) Excellent service by the staff, highly recommend for budget travellers

“Comfy homestay close to centre of Berastagi”

The guesthouse location is great, less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Berastagi and up a small hill so the guesthouse has great views over the town and volcanos in the distance. Ron was really welcoming and helped us organise a trip to Sibayak volcano and hot springs, and helped with our onwards travel to Lake Toba. Recommend staying here for your time in Berastagi.

“Exactly what you expect, very friendly and helpful staff”

The rooms are okay, exactly what you would expect from a basic accommodation. Ron was very friendly and super helpful. We rented a scooter with him and he arranged a taxi to the airport for us.

Such a lovely place to stay. Ron is so jolly and helpful. He organised my sunrise trek and told me about all the local sights. The guesthouse is in a great location. Far enough away from the main road to be a little quieter, but close to great places to eat, the fruit market and some of the sights. My room was clean and fresh and the balcony view is lovely. A great space to watch the world go by. I highly recommend a stay here.

Ron is a great and funny host. He is always there to help you and has great tips for activities and how to safe money on them. The location is great for hiking up Mount Sibayak or visiting the ghost town near Mount Sinabung. Highly recommend to stay here!

I really enjoyed staying here, the room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds and fast internet.The guest house has also very good location with walking distance to restaurants, Indomaret, fruit market and Main Street. Ron, the owner of the place and his family is very friendly,kind and helpful, always willing to answer all your questions. He even went above and beyond helping me to get transportation to another city for which I am very grateful. Highly recommend

“Lovely stay”

The stay was great, Ron is so friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and you could choose from quite a few options. Ron also helped us arrange a scooter to drive up to mount Sibayak. The rooms are basic but have everything you need and there's 2 chairs and a table to sit outside of the room as well. The road is a little loud with the motorbikes driving past but nothing earbuds (if you're a light sleeper) won't solve

Location was great - a 10 min walk to the market and main street where there’s so much choice of great food. Ron is great and very helpful with our onward travel and just an all round nice guy. Receptionist Jangry ( sorry if I got the name spelt wrong) was such a sweet and kind person. Lovely breakfast too.

The breakfast was amazing, the hosts and the workers are very helpful and friendly. The area is so beautiful, the bathroom is clean and the warm water is good working. We made a trip to the vulcano Sibayak and hot springs, that was an amazing experience! The host Ron was very helpful. Berastagi is a nice and cozy place, locals are helpful and friendly, you have to take a good loo klopt good food, but they have it. The fruits are delicious and the ginger/lemon tea in the guesthouse is also delicious. We recommend this 100%.
