I had a great time at this place. The owner is really sweet and even helped me Plan what to do in Beppu and where to go afterwards. I liked talking to him a lot, he's a funny guy. If you like anime it's also a must see. There are really amazing onsen close by and you can reach everything perfectly by bus. Would love to come again!

“Not just a manga heave, but much much more…”

In the house with every step you take you get to dive into the vast anime and manga worlds. It’s really mesmerising. And everything is in close proximity to a variety of traditional onsens and attractions, great views and kind people. Most highly recommended.

“Very pleasant and comfortable guesthouse”

Very well maintained house located 10mn from Beppu Hells, with comfortable beds, large space for luggage and all facilities. The house is entirely decorated with anime-related posters and items, giving it a cheerful and colorful atmosphere. The owner Tosi is truly a great host, sharing excellent recommendations of onsen and restaurants and always ensuring that we have everything we need. Would love to come again !

The sheer volume of anime posters and memorabilia around the entire space is astounding. Toshi, the host, is nothing short of amazing who laughs a lot, provides great recommendations for whatever it is that you require and is very open and friendly to chat with.

“Three-night stay in the Pokémon-themed room”

We stayed three days in Beppu over New Year's. The apartment was clean, the room was specularly decorated (we're Pokémon fans, so we couldn't have asked for better) and the futons were quite comfortable. Toshi-san is a great host and involved us in many traditional Japanese customs while we were there. Location is great too, with many onsens, restaurants and the hells of Beppu well within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

“Quiet and comfortable”

Very quiet and comfortable - we stayed one night in a private room that was very clean, with eclectic decor. It’s located very near the Beppu Jigoku and the amazing Hyotan Onsen (open until midnight). The host was very helpful and informed us in advance that there would be fireworks by the beach that weekend, so we were very lucky to catch them!

The owner was very kind and gave me really good advice ! And of course the place is amazing and funny, always some thing to look at.

“Best location but good only for short stays”

The staff is really great and isn’t intrusive if you don’t want to talk with them. You have access to a big locker for your luggage and the location is perfect, near touristic attractions

Colourful. Clean and quiet. Very gentle owners. I can only recommend to visit omoloso.

Toshi and Airi are the best hosts. The place is ideal for people that loves anime culture plus is just a few mins walk from most of the points of interest in Beppu. Very comfortable bed on the dorms!

The owner is one of the nicest people you will meet during your stay in Japan. The hostel has a very unique look with all the anime posters hanging on the walls. Would definitely recommend anyone who will come to Beppu to stay here.

“Perfect Cozy Beppu Stay”

Very cozy home with the best and friendly host. Always helpful and caring. Very close to the main bus stop Kannawa - 9 minutes away. Laundry and everything was at our ease. We loved the stay as we were the only guest at that time and had the whole house to ourselves.

Amazing hostel, especially for anime/Ghibli/pokemon enthusiasts ! Whenever you look on the wall, you spot a cool poster. It's very well located, close to the Hells of Beppu, the castle and the view point. “Perfect overnight”

Very friendly staff, nice cozy home. Nice small house, close to information centre n main bus top so easy to get bus to anywhere here in Beppu. It has curtains for privacy. Wifi is good. Walking distance to the castle and park.
