“Amazing stay”

Everything was so good.. The people of the family are very helpful and sweet. The beach and railway station is just walkable.. So nice location and the property is newly constructed.

Aww, this place is one-of-a-kind! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. I ended up extending my stay not once, but twice, which probably says it all 😊 The hosts are absolutely wonderful: incredibly friendly, attentive to every little detail, and always there when you need something, yet never intrusive. You can really feel that they care about their guests and want you to have the best possible experience. And Bentota itself? Easily one of my favorite places in all of Sri Lanka! It's on the very top of my list with the best places in Sri Lanka - and it occupies the first 3 positions 😄 If I ever make it to Sri Lanka again, I'll definitely stay in Bentota 🥰

Definitely recommend this guest house when staying in Bentota. I stayed for 2 nights but wish I had longer there. The location is great, 5min walk to the beach and some restaurants nearby. The room is very spacious and clean with a nice balcony you can relax on. Most importantly it is the family that are so lovely - they are very friendly welcoming people and made my stay really great. They organised a river safari for me and were always ready to help if I needed. If I am back in bentota I would stay here!

I had a lovely stay at Welcome Family Guest House. The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they were already waiting for me when I arrived, which made me feel immediately at home. Throughout my stay I felt that they cared about their guests and wanted to make sure everything was good for me. They shared many helpful tips and recommendations about traveling in Sri Lanka and gave useful advice about practical things as well. From the beginning to the end, the atmosphere was warm, friendly and genuine. I can warmly recommend Welcome Family Guest House to anyone visiting the area. “A True Hidden Gem in Bentota!”

If you are visiting Bentota, Welcome Family Guest House is highly recommended. It’s tucked away but in a perfect location—very close to the beach and just a short trip to Turtle Point and the River Boat Safari starting points. Highlights of my stay: The Atmosphere: Clean, comfortable rooms that felt like a home away from home. The Food: Absolutely delicious! Every meal was a highlight. The Host: Incredibly kind and more than happy to accommodate our ad-hoc requests. It’s the ideal place for anyone who wants a personal touch and easy access to Bentota’s best spots. I will definitely be visiting again! :)

Good, clean rooms with a homely atmosphere. The breakfast is simple and homemade rather than a luxury spread, but it’s quite good. One of the best places for the price.

The location was perfect, just 3 min far away from the beach! Really quiet surroundings even if the train is passing close by. The room was big and super clean, comfortable with warm water in the shower. The host family was amazing, extremely polite and friendly. Breakfast was great, freshly homemade omelette and traditional sweets. AMAZING!

A lovely family run place, they were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It’s very homely and close to the beach. The breakfast is homemade and plentiful, and they even cooked us a dinner one night as we were craving homemade curry & rice.

I can’t recommend this guest house enough. We had our other accommodation cancelled at last minute and we were happy that they did, as we were able to book Welcome Family Guest House while in the cab on the way to Bentota. The hosts went over and above to make our stay wonderful. The guest house is located close to train station, beach and restaurants. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There is an option to separate beds or have as double, so good for couples or two friends. The host assisted us by booking a tuk tuk to take us to local attractions and boat safaris, even though it was very last minute. We opted for breakfast included and it was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying at Welcome Family Guest House.
