“Excellent family destination in nature.”

The bungalow that we stayed in, Villa Emerald, was a nicely designed property that connects the four main spaces via one swimming pool corridor: 1. Master Bedroom 2. Bedroom 1 3. Bedroom 2 4. Living Room All areas and rooms were designed with glass panels/sliding doors which allows every room to have an equal view of the swimming pool which we found to the fantastic and is the most endearing feature of all the villas in Charis. Having an ensuite bathroom in each room was also fantastic. You could park your car right in front of your unit which makes it feel homey. Toilet was fantastic as well, as it was spacious and nicely designed. The location was great and you're given a private access to a part of the Chemperoh River which we found to be clean, making going to the river feels exciting. There's also a pickle ball court, table tennis, fishing pond, as well as beach-football area if you prefer to play something more outdoorsy within the compounds of the villa itself. Each unit will also get its own dedicated BBQ area, though nothing impressive about the setup. Inside the villa, the hosts provided internet, air fryer, microwave, a big refrigerator, cutleries, cooking utensils, pots, pans, iron, kettle. Mattresses and bed sheets were hotel-grade. Board games are also available upon request. We felt that planning for your own food will make the most out of the experience of staying in this villa.

Beautiful villa, spacious, great for a family get together. The facility also has a mini pickleball court and table tennis, and a nearby stream to dip your toes in.

“A near perfect holiday.”

The villas are out of the way tucked in (very) near the stream - the water is fresh and cooling. That was the highlight. The weather was great, and the villa fantastic. The staff were very helpful. There are a number of games to play, movies to watch - a real staycation!! The kitchen is well furbished.

Nice villa, felt like those villas in central Bali (without the beach). But rest assured, anak sungai under their care is nice, clean and good place to heal yourself from the city. Even the staff helped us city boys to light up the BBQ charcoal, they are friendly and helpful.

We loved the private pool, spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and cosy lounge. The barbecue facilities were great and the kitchen was adequately equipped. Ruby the caretaker was also very friendly, responsive and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay and will definitely come again.

River was just in front of the compound. Facilities was enough to keep the kids busy. Barbecue provided was good and convenient. Private pool was excellent with privacy. Clean and 4 feet deep. Cooking utensils was modern and easy to use. ATV booking was easy and they even picked us up from Charis!
