Overview
Dating from 1947, Fonda Matía lies in the heart of the Cerdanya Region. It has its own pool, and offers spectacular views of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and Cadí Mountains. All of the rooms at the Fonda Matía come with central heating, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Some also feature a private balcony and views of the town of Bellver de Cerdanya and the Natural Park. Free Wi-Fi is offered in public areas at the Fonda. A restaurant, a bar-café, a living room with fireplace, a terrace and spacious gardens can all be found on site. The Fonda Matía is set in the valley between Spain’s border with Andorra and France. There is easy access by car to La Seu d’Urgell and Puigcerdá.

“A great place in a most beautiful are attended by very nice people.”
I know well the area. The hotel (and restaurant) have an excellent location, by the road (but perfectly silent), close enough to Bellver. And with a large and comfortable parking area. I cannot pralse enough the kindness of the staff. One person at the hotel, and two (actually, the owners/hosts) at the restaurant. Really nice people. While the whole facility is middle class (and not new), the breakfast buffet is 5*****. Second to none.

The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The location was also good with private parking, just one minute away from a nice cozy town. The views from the hotel are amazing and you can see mountains.

It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding mountains and villages. Bellver next store has great restaurants, like L’Ingla. Hotel food was excellent and good value for money. Really appreciated the advice on where to travel and the map from receptionist. Under rated as a 2*

“Great stop on a road trip”
The staff were super welcoming and accomodating both on arrival and in the restaurant. I spent some time reading in the lovely garden, swimming in the refreshing and spacious pool. Slept really well, waking up to a wonderful view on the mountains. Breakfast buffet was delicious and extremely varied, cheese, various kinds of meat, Yoghurt, fruit, juice and an assortment of bread. Go for a walk before breakfast;)

The staff worked out a good way for my late check in to work as well as breakfast and dinner recommendations. The bed was comfortable, the view of the town was very good, the quality and spread of the breakfast was amazing.
