“Beautiful, peaceful, remote and stunning place to experience Galapogas. Giant tortoises!”

A beautiful place, exactly as described and more. We wanted somewhere away from the main port, which didn't speak 'Galapogas' to us, more tourist mania! The Cabannas were perfect. A stunning setting, beautiful accommodation, immaculate inside and out. A giant tortoise greeted us outside our cabin too, there were lots more when we walked just a few steps. Beautiful views. Food was delicious, Anna and Renne were lovely hosts - welcoming and helpful. Anna even cooked us a delicious evening meal, accommodating us being vegetarians. Easy access to the stunning Highlands of Santa Cruz. Do take account the taxi ride there and back is about 25mins, at $20-25 a time but it really is worth it. We loved our stay here and wished we could stay longer.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin, it was very peaceful and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony listening to the birds. There were giant tortoises around the property too, which was fun. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful, and made sure we everything we needed. The temperatures are a bit cooler than at the harbour, which can be nice on hot days! It has good views since it’s in the hills, and you can watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend!

“Nice stay for those looking for a remote setting away from the city”

This is a lovely isolated retreat in the highlands of Santa Cruz. The cabins are clean and spacious with a large fan. The owner was very kind and friendly. The stay is a 15 minute walk/hike from a tortoise ranch where you can see them roaming freely around. WiFi worked well.

Value for money is good. The cabanas are close to lava tunnels and turtle farm but further away from other sights.

“A wonderful tranquil place!”

I really enjoyed my stay in this wonderful tranquil place. I went there to flee the constant noise of Puerto Ayora. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the area. At Cabaña Eden you are surrounded by nature and when I opened my door the first morning I found myself face to face with a Giant Tortuga.

“A rural and rustic hideaway”

A rural and rustic hideaway in the highlands of Santa Cruz. Great welcome from Rene and Ana who are very warm and friendly. This retreat is for people who want to get away from it all and just be surrounded by the birds and wild tortoises. Pepe who lives next door is a great taxi driver, so getting to Puerto Ayora for an evening meal is easy.

This place is magical!! The family that runs it is so nice and welcoming. The food and coffee was amazing and the location is within walking distance from the giant tortoise reserve. The view is wonderful and it feels like a slice of paradise!

Beautiful location overlooking the sea and mountains. We got to experience the culture, delicious fresh food and the wooden lodge made a nice change. The property is family owned and run, and all staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We had dinner there on our first night and the fish was absolutely delicious. They catered for my dietary requirements well (coeliac). Transfers were available onsite and bikes available to rent.
