Great location for us, splitting our long journey through France. Janet and Steve were so lovely. Room was gorgeous and our breakfast was wonderful. We will plan our journey around another stay next year.

Moon River is a lovely place to stay. A beautiful building with very spacious rooms, and Janet and Steve were excellent hosts. Bellac itself is a lovely town with all amenities and a very picturesque setting. We would definitely recommend the town and Moon River as a place to stay.

Quaint building with charming French furnishings. A real gem of a find. Bedroom was exceptional- almost a suite. All the best features had been kept, really authentic. Very much enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and we were welcomed by the local community. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will try to return next year.

Wonderfully restored rooms with antique touches. Easy to park nearby. Extremely dog friendly. Bellac is very picturesque and being close to the river area is wonderful. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Excellent hospitality.

Beautiful furnished room in lovely old building. Set in the old part of the pretty village of Bellac overlooking the river. Continental Breakfast was fresh and plenty to eat. Received a warm welcome from Janet and Steve, hopefully will be back

There was a good selection of food available for breakfast. The rooms are a very good size, beautifully decorated with a lovely view. Moon river is situated in a calm and quiet area of town. Janet and Steve are excellent hosts.

“A true gem in a hidden village - the most comfortable bed!”

Easily found in the old part of Bellac down by the river. This beautiful old house has been so tastefully renovated and full of character. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. Near main routes, easy parking and shops and restaurants a short walk away. Our room was fabulous and the bed so comfortable. Steve was in charge as Janet was away and he was the perfect host. Huge breakfast provided and great welcome - would highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Moon River, Janet and Steve were very warm and friendly hosts who immediately made us feel very welcome after our long drive. They've done the most amazing job at completely renovating an historic Napoleonic Inn into a very inviting, beautifully decorated and luxuriously appointed chambre d'hotes that's brimfull of character. The breakfast was great, the room was spotless and very comfortable and there was free and easy car parking 1 min walk away by the river. Would definitely stay here again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Bellac.
