“Quiet stay in beautiful Corsica”

Breakfast was amazing, the view from the room was breathtaking and the hosts were the loveliest people we met during our whole trip.

The hosts are absolutely incredible – it feels more like stepping into someone’s home than staying in a hotel. Jacqueline is a wonderful cook, preparing different delicious dishes every morning for breakfast, and her dinners are a true highlight – mouthwatering and full of care. On top of that, she knows the Balagne region inside out and shares amazing tips and advice to discover hidden gems.

My stay at Hôtel Le Niobel, although sadly too short, was a very pleasant experience. From the very welcome to the property to the delight of my well appointed room with great views, a very comfy bed and quality linens, to a very tasty and well executed Table d’Hôte menu and amazing buffet breakfast to start your day. The whole experience presented hospitality at its very best. We hope to be back next year.

The owner Jacqueline made us feel at home immediately and we enjoyed many conversations in both French and English during our stay. The food was excellent with the day starting with a great breakfast on the terrace overlooking an impressive view. Belgodere was a lovely place to be based both for trips to the beach and to other hilltop towns in the Balagne.

Location was excellent, on a hillside over looking an unspoilt valley with the Mediterranean in the background. I travelled by motorcycle from the UK and stayed for 3 nights. English was spoken and the staff were very helpful, especially when I explained that I was diabetic. Time was taken to explain that some of the bread, etc. at breakfast contained things like honey. There was plenty of choice for breakfast & there seemed to be something to suit everyone's tastes.
