The Grand Hôtel du Tonneau d’Or, an establishment with neo-classical charm built in 1902, offers modern accommodation in a setting steeped in history. Located in the heart of Belfort, at the gates of the old town, museums and restaurants, just a 5-minute walk from the Lion of Belfort, the Grand Hôtel du Tonneau d'Or has 52 rooms. Equipped with a monumental staircase and decorated with stained glass windows, designed by the Nancy master Jacques Gruber. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Every morning, breakfast composed of local products is served as a buffet in a contemporary room. The Grand Hôtel du Tonneau d'Or has a private parking with 9 spaces (including 4 with an electric charging station), as well as secure bicycle storage; the surrounding streets and car parks offer a parking. Entrance and exit of the A36 motorway 3 minutes away, the TGV station is 15 minutes away, Basel-Mulhouse airport 45 minutes away, and the General Electric and Alstom sites are only 5 minutes away by car. In front of the Hotel, places reserved for taxis as well as a city bus stop allow you to get around. Property is surrounded by cultural activities , as it is 15 km from both the Axone performance hall and the famous Montbéliard Christmas market, 13 km from the Festival des Eurockéennes, along with the FIMU of Belfort, which you can access on foot, just like the Old Town flea market on the 1st Sunday of each month (March to December), the frosty month (December), the historical reenactments organized in the Citadel.

Beautiful inside and tastefully decorated. Onsite parking..however we missed that this needed to be reserved on booking and is also limited spaces. There is however free parking 2 mins away. Lovely location in a very leafy green plaza in the centre of the town. Good value for money. Would stay here again

“A very grand hotel for the price”
This is a really lovely hotel, the only mystery being why there were so few guests staying there. There were not that many staff around either and it was all a bit Marie Celeste! Good to be able to park in the small on-site car park though. The decor in the public spaces of the hotel is stunning. Our room was very comfortable, good sized bathroom with a great shower. Despite apparent lack of staff those we encountered were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was also very good
