Amazing location and cottages

The location is stunning, in the middle of the National Park but at a lower elevation. The view is very relaxing and there is plenty of little walks to do around the place. The cottage we got was very cute and had everything we needed. The breakfast, paid for an additional 16-18 euros, was superb. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We stayed only one night but it's definitely a place where to stay for 2-3 days to properly enjoy the hikes and the cottages.

Amazing family winter holiday

Wonderful place to stay, amazing food options and very close to Beitostolen ski resort which is fantastic for beginner skiiers. It also has a nicely equipped gym and great sauna after an ice dip in the frozen lake! Very helpful owners.

Best breakfast I have eaten in Europe.

Every service (bed linen, final cleaning) paid separately. Luxury dinner is quite expensive, but worth it. The best is breakfast. Very nice surroundings.

Wonderful

Breakfast was excellent value for money. A wide range of choice at of different breakfast food to suit most considering size of main hotel. Gluten-free bread was available upon request. Staff were available for help at breakfast time. A small fee for a practical lunch box that could be used to select extra items to make a packed lunch for the day trips. Cabin was comfy and spacious with a decent kitchenette. Log burner in the cabin made for warm atmospheric winter evenings. Lovely view with balcony overlooking the lake. The main hotel had a gym and giant hot tub for the adults and air-hockey and a indoor climbing wall for the kids. A lovely evening meal with entertainment one night. Staff were friendly and helpful - just as you'd expect from family run business. WiFi and TV if you really needed.

A good base for exploring eastern Jotunheimen

This hotel is a very cosy place. It feels a bit like coming home and we were well taken care of. It is placed in the south-eastern part of Jotunheimen in the middle of all the mountains and forests. The guys running the hotel have a lot of expertise helping out with suggesting activities. There is also a larger ski-resort a short car ride away where it is easy to buy any supplies for adventures.

everything was wonderful!

Great breakfast and great dinner! I advise everyone to order dinner - you won't regret it! The advice of the hotel staff helped me prepare for the difficult trek through the snowy Bessegen. Many thanks to them for that!
