What you pay is less than more you get in this case. The place is small and very basic. Nothing more than bad shower and kettle in the room. A coffee machine in the lobby. BUT the location is the best one can imagine with 3 important subway stations near by. Practically one can walk to the quinman square and the forbidden city area. ( 30 to 45 min walk) And last and not least the stuff is so friendly and helpful. They made laundry free of charge and support a lot in managing in China that is a beat challenge. For example i was in a problem using alipay in the bus. So WhatsApp to the hotel and they send me screen shot how to use. If you are coming to see beijing and not not enjoy the hotel luxuries this is not expensive very good value for money place.

The staff were exceptional, incredibly helpful and kind, I was always offered Coffee, Tea or water when going out in the morning or returning at night, they helped me reserve Tiananmen Square, and were happy to help during my stay in any way they could.

Great location between two metro stations so easy to access all the main sights. Staff amazingly helpful helped us to book tickets for Tiananmen Square without going on a tour. Free tea and coffee rooms small but comfortable bed.

“Exceptional staff and excellent location”

I can't stress enough how exceptionally helpful and friendly the staff were at the happy dragon. I very rarely write a review for the places I stay unless it really stands out, but the happy dragon team was genuinely outstanding. On arrival they gave me some really detailed recommendations for food, transport and sightseeing. All of which were brilliant. The location is fantastic with easy transport links, so central that it's cost effective to get taxis to many key attractions. The team sorted out our laundry free of charge, checking what could be washed together, what could be machine dried etc. They offered tea/water/coffee at every opportunity. They arranged our trip to the great wall (with a fantastic guide too). They had perfect English which also made everything very easy. The room itself was comfortable and clean and the shower was very good. We were even provided fresh towels every day. Overall, I cannot recommend enough and I think the happy dragon is excellent value for money.

It was very good location and next to a shopping mall

The receptionists were THE BEST, AMAZING, the friendliest receptionists that we’ve ever met. They always gave us free water, tee, presents, they helped us with taxies, online orders. The bed was confortable. The prices were good. The hotel was like 15-minutes away from the main shopping streets. Free cleaning laundry.

Wonderful friendly staff, who spoke great English and could not do enough for you. Free tea, coffee and water in the reception 24 hours and 2 metro stations within 5 minutes walk. Bars and restaurants nearby if you felt lazy.
