Very cool and nice location in an old abbey, but yet very comfortable. Nice touches, like the monks singing, lots of old furniture, but nice and clean (modern) baths, bed was super-comfy, very cool restaurant with open fire, food was delicious, service super-friendly!

This is a very worthwhile project to support, as the management team seeks to conserve a magnificent historic building and breathe new life into it. They have clearly taken a very engaging, passionate and idiosyncratic approach to that task. The commitment to linking with other abbeys across France for supplies of wine, preserves etc gives the place a very clear theme, identity and narrative. We were struck by the friendliness and enthusiasm of all the staff we met. Both breakfast and the 'rotisserie' dinner were excellent in terms of quality and quantity. Communication before, during and after our stay was plentiful (perhaps even a little overwhelming at times...). Our room had a great view of the Loire, and was beautifully quirky, adding to an overall 'boutique' feel of the hotel. The town of Beaugency is a real gem, and the hotel's location between the river, abbey church and chateau is unbeatable. Our only regret was that the weather didn't allow us to use the hotel's garden and terrace. We will certainly use visit hotel again, and would recommend it to others.

The staff were very friendly. The lounges were beautifully furnished. Breakfast was very nice with freshly squeezed orange juice and I loved the lime marmalade. The view over the Loire both from the breakfast room and my room was beautiful. Parking was easy.
