**Disappointing Stay Despite Pleasant Setting** The location and aesthetic of the house are charming, and the staff were generally kind. However, my experience was marred by several incidents that I feel are important to share: - **Attempted Overcharge**: The owner’s husband tried to charge me more than the agreed-upon price, even after I showed him the Booking.com receipt confirming the original rate. - **Excessive Meal Prices**: I was shocked by the price of 130,000 VND for a simple dish of instant noodles with egg and lettuce—a cost I consider unreasonably high compared to local standards. - **Room Security Issues**: The bedroom doors lacked functional locks, forcing guests to improvise methods to secure their privacy and belongings. - **Noisy Weekend Environment**: A family staying at the property made loud noises and banging late into the night and again early in the morning, with no intervention from staff to ensure other guests' rest. These issues reflect a lack of attention to fundamental details that affect guests' comfort and safety. I believe experiences like this can shape the overall perception of tourism in Vietnam—a country with so much to offer but in need of improvement in visitor care. Only **5% of tourists return to Vietnam**, and incidents like these may contribute to that statistic.

“Great stay”
Beautiful surroundings and the food was absolutely fantastic. The local Bac Ha pork dish was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Cho is very nice and speaks great English so it was nice to learn about the H'mong culture too.

“Certainly worth considering”
Perfect, quiet surroundings. Mr. Cho's English is very good and he can arrange taxi's and trekkings. Dinner is also good. Any issues can be resolved easily using whatsapp

“Beautiful accommodation but the host quite rude with us”
Dinner was offered by the host but without knowing the cost in advance, nor the opportunity to choose what to eat. At the end asked to pay quite a lot for what we had. Beds and rooms comfortable, but the second night I could not sleep because there was a noise coming from the wall, perhaps an insect; basically you are in a rural setting :)

“A once in a lifetime experience in rural Vietnam”
Staying with Cho family was truly an immersive experience of Vietnam's beautiful countryside. The family was extremely kind and welcoming to me. Spending time and eating dinners with them was an experience I will always remember. They are also well-connected with people in the village who will take you on tours to the market and other landmarks nearby. I booked because of the photos I saw on here, but in real life the homestay and surroundings are even more breathtaking.

What a great host! I Highly recommend staying at this homestay due to its great welcoming atmosphere. We went to town for dinner twice and had dinner at the accomodation on our last night. If we stay at this place again, we would always have our dinner there, because it was far better than every other place we've been to in Bac Ha. To put it in a nutshell: This is a place to stay, which you should not miss!

“Stay here!!”
This is one of the stays I have the best memories of our month traveling in Vietnam. Chô is the nicest and warmest host and makes sure you have a great time. He took us on two hikes and showed us the area around and he and his wife cooked an amazing dinner for us. We had planned to stay one night but we liked it so much (the bungalow was beautiful) that we stayed another one. We were very sad to leave and hope to return! Chô you are the best!

Great stay! Mr Chô was very friendly. The room was comfortable and the location is not in the center of town but it is beautiful. If you come for a quiet and peaceful stay, this is the homestay for you.
