The late check in.If your paying a lot of money to stay on a river boat one should be able to check in before 5pm.It would have been nice to sit outside onboard and enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon.Check in,go out for a meal and then check out in the morning.Whats the point of paying that price to stay on a riverboat.

What an amazing stay on an amazing ‘property’ and such a great location for exploring Bayonne and the surrounding area. Isobel and Patrice are wonderful hosts who go the extra mile (km) to make your stay the best possible (I badly twisted my ankle in a visit to a nearby Basque village during our stay and they were fantastic in making me comfortable). The breakfasts were superb and it was just an all round wonderful experience.

Absolutely amazing place to stay if you visit Bayonne. Isabelle and Patrice are the most wonderful hosts. The Peniche is so beautiful with a perfect location, you want to stay forever. Very good breakfast on deck, if the weather permits. Easy parking. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home, we will be back.

Everything ! Location : walking distance to old town, cleanliness, tasteful decoration, welcome … We had the room with the bathroom in the old wheelhouse and our own terrasse and a beautifully presented breakfast.

Great location in a cosy setting in Peniche Djebelle, close to Bayonne city centre. Isabelle is a great host, and could not do too much for me. Great breakfast on the deck overlooking Bayonne. Recommended.

Exceptional! Beautifully presented and served in the sunny outdoors.

It was a great experience to stay two nights on the boat with our lovely hosts. The room was very nice and comfortable. We got a great breakfast with a fine view over the river and the old city centre. We enjoyed the occasional rocking of the boat and watching the tide going in and out. The accommodation certainly gives a different experience from hotels or classical B&Bs. Access to both rooms on the boat is through the owners' private quarters. It is like home from home.
