“A wonderful, relaxed, magical place”

Absolutely wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights in May and thoroughly enjoyed it. Joel and his family gave us such a warm and personal welcome. GuaiGui is a very special place. It's clear that a great deal of love and care has been put into creating it - there are small, fun little details everywhere, and it has probably the most relaxed vibe of anywhere I've ever stayed. Once we were there, we almost didn't want to go anywhere else! The cabins are set in a lovely tropical garden, lying in the small pool surrounded by birds and butterflies was blissful, and the included breakfast is a very nice plus. The cabins are very simple - it's not a hotel - but are full of character and have everything you need, and there are also common areas. Our little cabin had a lovely outdoor cold water shower, and there's a hot water shower in separate building if you need it. Highly recommended if you are comfortable living close to nature and are looking for a personal, authentic accommodation experience wiithin easy reach (10-minute drive) of Bayahibe. We loved it. “The Most Beautiful Place in Bayahibe 🌴”

GuaiGüí feels like living in a forest. In the morning you are woken up by birds, and in the evening you go to sleep with nature 🦜🦋 The breakfasts were lovely; we ate fruits from the trees in the ecolodge and played with dogs 🐕 After long days out exploring Cotubanama, the pool in the rocks was a lovely addition 💖 The huts are comfortable and we adored the outdoor shower 🚿 If you have a rented car definitely book this place, it is perfect to find peace of mind after a long day in busy Bayahibe 🌴🌊 GuaiGüí is just about 7 minutes away from Bayahibe centre by car, so you aren't really stranded in the middle of nowhere but far away enough to enjoy a peaceful night 🚗 Joel is a really welcoming host and on the second day made sure we got served Tres Golpes for breakfast. He always asked us how our day went in the afternoon and we really appreciated that 💥 Recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“A little gem full of lovely surprises”

It's hard to put into words how much we loved this accommodation. Anna and Yoel are incredibly kind hosts who genuinely care about their guests' well-being. They were very helpful in organizing our excursions and had excellent recommendations for small-group eco-tours. Breakfast was outstanding all three days – the best we had in the Dominican Republic! A big thank you also to the friendly and flexible ladies in the service team! As for the accommodation itself: We were captivated by the charm of the entire property. So many wonderful, diverse plants and decorative items, and each cabana is unique. The garden is crisscrossed with winding paths, illuminated at night, and we discovered something new every day. We especially loved the pool and the private outdoor shower. However, there's also a second shower near the pool, accessible to everyone, which was also a great experience. Our cabana was equipped with solar lighting, a fan, and an extremely comfortable bed. We stayed for three nights and would have loved to stay longer. There's a refrigerator at reception that we were allowed to use, and we quickly fell in love with all the animals, especially Blanca the dog. Throughout our stay, it was wonderfully quiet. No traffic noise, just the sounds of nature. There are a few parking spaces in front of the entrance. Restaurants are a bit of a walk away, so a rental car is recommended. We can wholeheartedly recommend Guaigüi! It was absolutely beautiful and unique!!

We stayed at GuaiGui for six nights, and it was truly a special experience. The place itself is a little paradise, a lush tropical garden with beautifully designed eco-friendly guest houses, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and kindness of Yoel and his family. They’re incredibly welcoming and genuinely care about their guests, always happy to help or just share a friendly chat. And then, there are the dogs! Seven of the sweetest, friendliest dogs you could ever meet! If you love animals, this place is a dream. What touched us the most is that they don’t just care for their own dogs, but also look after many in the neighborhood, and this is one more reason why we were very happy to have stayed there. We are both vegetarian, and we got delicious rich breakfasts with fruit, toasts, eggs and juice. The variety of plants in the garden attracts many beautiful animals, including hummingbirds and lizards, making it a fantastic choice for any nature lover. If you're looking for a place with soul, where you can relax and enjoy nature (and lovely dogs), this is the perfect choice. Would absolutely stay here again!

Joel and his team provided excellent, responsive service. Their beautifully maintained property, nestled in nature, offered a warm welcome. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, and the comfortable double bed, complete with a mosquito net, ensured a restful sleep. The value was exceptional.

I loved staying there. The property is beautiful, Yoel (the owner) was warm, accommodating, and very helpful. I really enjoyed the area as well, with a couple of little shops close by. The pool was great, the room comfortable and well-appointed, and the amenities great. The breakfast was delicious and I loved being in nature and off the beaten path. Very relaxing and perfect to end my road trip around the country. Perfect as a solo female traveler too.
