Amazing place to relax and not too far from the city centre! Especially if you rent a motorbike. Very very nice family as well

A wonderful experience to stay in a traditional Cambodian style house. Friendly and helpful owners who helped to make my visit special. Nice, quiet and peaceful setting just a short distance outside the main city. A 1/2 day tour was arranged which took in the local area and countryside. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

“Beautiful tradiational and verdent property with lovely hosts”
The 'apartments' are built in a traditional way that allows for air-flow and consequently keeps the rooms cool during the day and night. The fan is more than enough to cool oneself during the day (and it's also very useful for blowing mosquitos away at night, which meant I didn't even need to use the mosquito netting around the bed). The property is full of tropical trees and plants, flowers, and a few little animals and birds, as well as a pool of water in the center. ... The breakfast is simple, but exactly what I like to eat in the morning, with delicious mango jam and baguette and butter (and coffee). The hosts are incredibly warm, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They speak mainly French, but also English (and Khmer). I stayed for a week and I enjoyed my stay very much. If I return to Battambang I will surely stay here again.

“Very authentic stay between nature and traditions”
Superb homestay with very welcoming, helpful hosts who give very interesting tips about the tours and about Cambodia. The wooden houses are in the heart of nature with a very lush garden and lots of fruit trees. We really feel like we are in the countryside when we are 2kms from the city center. The rooms are spacious, clean and with a beautiful view of nature. Very comfortable mattress for a homestay, this is the 1st time since the beginning of our trip. Breakfast by the pond with squirrels and birds to keep us company and very plentiful. The motorcycles offered for rent were in very good condition and consume very little gasoline, which is not the case everywhere un Cambodia. It's really an immersion in local life. Battambang has a lot of pagodas so you can hear them early in the morning but if you have earplugs it's not annoying, on the contrary, it's part of the experience of the trip.

Simple but great little oasis of calm amongst flora and fauna. Bit out of town but that was fine with us, as easy to get out via tuk tuk. Any was a very helpful hostess.

“Slice of paradise in Battambang”
We really enjoyed our stay at O’Hamok Family Homestay - the homestay is a little slice of paradise! It’s easy to find, clean, and truly beautiful. Even without air conditioning, the fans kept us cool and we slept well. But bring ear plugs! They also kindly shortened our stay by one night when I accidentally booked the wrong dates! 🙏🏼 The only feedback would be that we had to patch up our mosquito net with plasters as there were a few holes.

We loved this beautiful homestay. The buildings have all been built by the owner Sam using materials repurposed from his family home in the country. A beautiful garden and plenty of space made it feel like a calm oasis. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and with no plastic waste. The hosts were very welcoming and gave advice freely. We were able to get a free pick up from the homestay by Giant ibis as we booked our onward travel from Battambang to Phnom Penh with Giant ibis. Breakfast was delicious with a lovely view of the fish in the pond and the noise of the cicadas. We ate locally very well and enjoyed a superb cycle tour of the countryside around Battambang with a local social enterprise Soksabike. We will look back on this as a highlight of our journey around Cambodia.

“Natural and authentic”
Our wooden bungalow was charming, clean and functional, the bathroom was basic but it was located upstairs, private and with hot water. The mattress was perfect and the sheets and towels were clean. The shared kitchen is appreciable and you can refill your water bottles for free. Breakfast is plentiful for 3.75 usd half baguette, tea and coffee, homemade jam, fruit and egg. Our hosts welcomed us with a smile, they explained to us how the room and the homestay worked during the stay, they are not intrusive they adapt to travelers. The garden is beautiful with large trees that keep the freshness and a large pond with fish. If you are looking for a homestay with a family and caring welcome you will be in the right place. On the other hand, if you are more used to resorts or boutique hotels this place will not be for you.

“Unwind in style”
A French chambre d'hotes in the outskirts of Battambang. Great welcome, wonderful simple accommodation, lovely jungle garden, breakfast with eggs from their own chickens. $1.50 for a grab tuktuk into town. Battambang is really worth visiting, quiet but with a smattering of good restaurants, bars and the obligatory street food. Much of the centre retains its colonial architecture and scores highly on character and ambiance. Well worth the detour
