The spa is charged separately, which should definitely be included in the rate, at least for the apartments. Children allowed only at certain hours of the day.

“Fabulous weekend away.”
Everything is thought of here. Also very clean! The infinity pool was a gorgeous experience and also with drinks. Oh and let's not forget the afternoon tea snacks.

Dealing with the receptionist gave a very negative start to our stay. Instead of trying to be helpful, we were made to feel a bit silly. When asked if they knew how long the loud music was going to play right under our window, the answer was “this is Båstad”, when asked about the Spa access, it wasn’t about “let me figure out how to make it happen for you” but “you haven’t booked it” Her attitude was negative, dismissive and arrogant. To put our stay into context (I fully appreciate every guest should be treated with respect whatever the class of room they have chosen to stay in) we had chosen to stay in one of their larger suites with our child and even staying in one of their premier rooms we were still treated in a negative dismissive way. To summarize… the hotel is lovely, our room was lovely, however we were made to feel by the general attitude of most of the staff that they were better than us and thus we would not recommend staying in this particular hotel. In fact, this property was the biggest disappointment during our 2 week road trip throughout Sweden and Denmark where we stayed in a different hotel every night. If you’re looking for a luxurious feel hotel with friendly and genuine staff in a knockout location, then we would highly recommend Ystad Saltsjöbad.
