“Excellent stay”

What a pleasant stay. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided — from charging points to a first-aid kit and everything in between. The entertainment centre was amazing, with a great selection of movies. The locally made sheep’s milk yoghurt from their own business, All About Sheep, was absolutely delicious. Completely private and located in such a quiet part of town. It was cleaner than most places we have ever stayed in.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and has lots of lovely touches to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is huge and there are great views from the front porch. Jamie met us soon after our arrival and was always available to answer questions. She made dinner reservations for us at MUD Modern and recommended many places to go in the area. Jamie even gave us an ice pack and box to transport the sheep's milk yoghurt we bought. We loved how bright and clean the cottage is and highly recommend staying here.

It was clean, neat and very functional, a lot of thought has gone into the needs of guests, things like a First Aid Kit, delicious farm milk and yoghurt as well as muesli.

Beautiful views. Nespresso coffee machine. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Many thoughtful touches making an overnight stay after a long day on the road very pleasant.

Situated in a quiet street facing pasture fields and mountains to the west. Walking distance to the major attractions and restaurants within Barrydale. Our Host, Jamie even organised a booking for dinner on our arrival at the Karoo Arts Hotel- 10 minute walk from Sunset cottage. Very secure with a beautiful garden and secure private parking. Everything you could want is available for our short stay here. It’s winter so those electric blankets were perfect. Heating available in the bathroom too and it was a huge bathroom with the biggest walk-in shower. Plenty of hot water and provisions in the kitchen included a coffee pod machine, tea, coffee, chocolates, sugar, spices etc. Jamie even gave us some sheep’s milk and yogurt to try. Highly recommend trying it! It’s so healthy !! I must comment on the garden! It really is beautiful and full of bird life even in winter.

Beautiful sunny cottage with everything we needed for our overnight stay. Host was very friendly and helpfull and we appreciate the taste of the sheeps milk en yogurt (a first for us). O and thanx for the electric blankets..loved it!! The towels: I must say when you look at the towels you think...how on earth will these things get you dry? Wow...what a surprise!! I'm converted! Bought mine the next day!!! Thanx again!!

Sunset cottage is warm, welcoming home from home. It is equipped with absolutely everything you would need plus lots of finishing touches to make your stay that more special. It is very private with off street parking and owner Jaimie and parents are around the corner should you need anything. We truly enjoyed our stay!
