“Great stop over”
The owner is absolutely gorgeous. He is carrying and looks after his guests. The breakfast was great made up of products from own production, e.g. bread, marmalade etc.

We had a fantastic stay at Sorgvry in Barrydale! The guesthouse is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. Our host, Uwe, was incredibly welcoming, caring, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. His passion for hospitality truly shows, and the whole experience was warm and relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! 😊 Uwe… what a great name. And your home-made bread is awesome.

Pretty garden, lovely veranda to sit in for breakfast or just to read with a drink. . Very nice village, with super restaurant called Modern Mud, exceptional food and service, delicious food.

“Be our guest”
Uwe is a most charming host who is very attentive yp his guests. His personality is reminiscent of Luminére in the animated movie, Beauty and the Beast. Dapper and accommodating. We arrived at the same time as another couple and felt cared for and welcomed with equal attention. The Africa Room is beautiful and wonderfully decorated. Every comfort is catered to. My favorite moment was discovering that because we arrived days before Christmas, the house was beautifully decorated as though we were being hosted by family over the festive period. Simply stunning.
