We chose Villa So Long primarily for its proximity to the DAMRI Bus Station, as we were heading to Bali afterward, and it turned out to be a very convenient decision. One of the highlights was the oceanfront cottage. It was even more spacious than we had anticipated, and the bed and pillows struck a perfect balance—not too soft, not too firm—which was exactly what we needed after a full day of hiking Ijen and exploring Baluran National Park. The service stood out as exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. We had ordered food prior to arrival and informed the staff in advance; upon check-in, they had already received it and prepared utensils in our cottage, making everything seamless. The team also assisted with transporting our luggage using the hotel cart, and the welcome drink was a refreshing touch. Overall, the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The pool, located conveniently near our cottage, became one of our favorite spots. We enjoyed a night swim in the warm evening, accompanied by the gentle sound of the waves. With the full moon overhead and the infinity pool overlooking the ocean, the experience felt particularly special and memorable. The following morning did not disappoint. The sunrise was exceptional, and we enjoyed it once again by the pool—this time in a quieter setting with only a few other guests around. The surrounding garden was also beautifully maintained, adding to the overall atmosphere of calm and care. Overall, Villa So Long offered a comfortable and well-located stay with standout service and a serene beachfront ambiance, making it a great choice for a short stopover in Banyuwangi.
