“Loved the Banlung life here”

I loooved it here. I stayed a day longer and I was already staying a week. The room is big and beautiful, the bed is big and cosy, the bathroom is great and the water pressure is unexpectedly good too. I loved how helpful Mr Happy was in helping me rent a bike. I cycled everywhere. The location is perfect as it's close to lots of interesting local food places and a lovely coffee stall. I feel like I've made a friend for life in Mr Happy and in Banlung I've found a home away from home. I cannot wait to come back. Oh and the internet was fab too, as a digital nomad I had no problems working from here.

“Cheap normal option for one time”

Price, lanch and breakfast, and the host was nice, he provided free cut fresh watermelon after breakfast :-)

Very cosy place, rooms with good space, shadow area to relax in hammocks and tables to have food any time. Mr. Happy organized a 3 day jungle tour for our family (with two boys 12 and 14). We had a great time together with Mr. Tho and his friend as guides. We learned so much about Kavet minority, plants to eat and to heal, fishing, using bamboo for cooking, drinking, rafting, building..., housing, farming... amazing! We really loved it to be on the trip with those guys! Highly recommend, both tour and Mr. Happy homestay 😊

“Great staff!”

Great, friendly staff! The room is cosy and quiet. Great atmosphere :) Great value for money. Food available nearby, standard price ($2.5 a meal). Laundry service available (1kg per kilo). Wifi works great.

Welcoming host, good food from family restaurant nearby. Rooms spacious with fan and comfortable bed, bathroom basic but sufficient.

“Happy stay”

Mr. Vutha was very attentive. He picked us up at the bus stop on his own initiative. The bungalow was clean and wide. Offered fruits ans good cooking. Thank you again Mr Happy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Happy Guesthouse. The room was spacious, the neighborhood was cozy, and the owner was very welcoming. Indeed, I embarked on an adventurous route recommended by the guesthouse owner, which took me through the Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park. It was an unforgettable experience, cycling through savannah-like landscapes and passing by multiple tribal villages. Thanks for the tips! It was fantastic.

Friendly staff which was all Mr Happy family, close to everything you need, it mean street restaurants, supermarket, ATM, laundry and market. Mr Happy know area and can help with trip planning, there is scooter to rent so a lot of problems sorted, area is easy to navigate even with no proper map. I like Mr Happy hand made knife and he drive for free me to 2 black smiths and I was able to buy one myself which would be impossible without his help. Trip to game stone mine was very interesting, maybe I should barging bit more for price. I got free drive to bus station on way back.

Vutha aka Mr. Happy is really taking care of his costumers. Very helpful. The Homestay is relaxed and quite. Vutha‘s wife is a brilliant cook. We recommend Happy Homestay very much!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable bed with a powerful fan to keep you cool overnight. Also, mosquito net provided which had no holes! Mr Vutha, the owner, is a lovely guy. Really helpful with sorting out bikes/transport and picked us up from the bus station. Also we did a 1 day trek with him which was great value for money and had a great experience! Would stay here again.

Good localization. Large rooms, comfortable beds with mosquito nets. No air conditioning but each bed has its own fan. Cleanly. Very nice and helpful owners. They will help organize everything from scooter to jungle trekking. When I returned from trekking the day before due to the weather, I got a partial refund. Good wi-fi. Very good price!

Mr. Happy is very friendly and helpfull. I spent there a week. I am very happy with my room. His wife is a cook master. She can prepare food. It's really tasty and not expensive. I really enjoyed my staying there. Highly recommend 😊

Room was very spacious and clean with a really nice bed linen. Mr. Vutah is super positive and friendly. Can easily organize everything you need. Free banana and water refill. Comfy hammock.

An excellent place to stay if you want value for money. Central location, clean enough, cheap rooms and reasonably priced 1-7 night treks to The national park. We did a 2 night trek which was tough but rewarding. The owner joined us himself. His cute dog came too. Owner can handle any bus tickets etc. and they have a water refilling point.

My room was very large, including an indoor table and chairs plus a lovely terrace in front with table, chairs and hammocks. A nice place to sit and observe local life. The fan and lighting were great in the room, and the bed was large, comfy and clean. The host Mr Happy and his family were all very pleasant and eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. This place is very good value for the price. Plus I went on a very pleasant half day trip with Mr Happy as my guide to the beautiful nearby lake and ethnic minority village, which is excellent if you are interested in traditional weaving. He is a very informative and fun-loving guide who speaks great English.
