Amazing value for money. The owner was great and very helpful- he organised a trek for us and was able to take us and pick us up from places in town. The breakfast and dinner they serve was also very good.

I had an exceptional stay at this homestay in Banlung. I was travelling alone, but the family is incredibly warm and welcoming and made me feel completely at home from the moment I arrived. They are always happy to help with any requests or questions. Breakfast is very nice (bread, eggs, fresh fruit), and there is also the option to have dinner every evening at 7, freshly cooked by the wife. The meals were delicious and a great way to experience local food. One of the highlights of my stay was the two day, one night jungle trek I booked through them. Everything was perfectly organised and the guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and passionate. It was truly a great experience, and if you are considering trekking, I would definitely recommend arranging it through them. The overall vibe of the homestay is relaxed and social. It is easy to meet other travellers, and the location just outside the centre of Banlung is peaceful while still being convenient.

The whole family is very kind and welcoming, the social yet peaceful vibe among travellers was great, and that Puthea rented as the scooters and showed how to use them was awesome. Amazing place, if I ever make it to Ratanakiri again I will for sure stay there again. Thanks for everything!

We had a really nice stay here, we were picked up at the bus station and our host even took us to a restaurant because we arrived late. We were able to leave our stuff in the room when we went trekking. The dinner served there is delicious. They also organise the travel to Laos, everything went smoothly. Thank you for everything!

The host is amazing and arranges everything for you. His english is also very good. Definitely recommend the jungle trekking, physically challenging but the experience overall is something to never forget.

“Welcoming homestay with incredible trekking”

Staying here was the highlight of my time in Cambodia! We stayed here 1 night before doing the 3-day trek and then 2 nights afterwards. The trek was amazing with the 2 guides being from the local tribe of the area and they really knew the forest like the back of the their hand. It was a really authentic and memorable experience. The facilities of the homestay itself are very clean and they provide towels and free water refill. You can also lock your valuables in a safe for the duration of the trek. They also cook breakfast and family dinners which is a great way to meet other people you'll be going on the trek with! The host is amazing making sure the guests are well taken care of and goes out of his way to help with anything! He picks you up from the bus stop when you arrive and he drove us with the motorcycle to the bicycle rental shop in town when we wanted to rent bicycles during our last day!

Nice stay, amazing trek. We ended up doing a 3-day trek with the gibbon experience.

We had a beautiful stay. Mr Pu Thea is a very kind and helpful host. The bungalow was cozy and the jungle tour we did was a lot of fun.

Everything was perfect! The room and the bathroom were very clean and comfy. Multiple hamacs to relax. The breakfast and family dinner are delicious and perfect for socializing. The 2days/1night trek was absolutely amazing! And what makes this place so special is Mr Puthea and his family, they are the nicest and most welcoming family, they made me feel at home!

Pu Thea is an excellent host! I went on a 2 day trek, organised by the homestay and it was the best thing I did in Cambodia! Cannot recommend this place enough, absolutely perfect for backpackers :))

“Home”

Everything, this homestay, is just amazing. Wanted to stay only 3 nights, ended up staying a whole week. Made of wood with a lot of plants and hamacs. The owner makes things very easy for you with delicious and abundant food and wonderful trekking tours.

Amazing place to stay. Mr. Bun Puthea is one of the nicest person, he takes care of everything and helps with with literally anything you need. The place is clean and beautiful. Food is great.

Mr Phutea is awesome. He has so much knowledge and knows how to organize everything you need. He really goes the extra mile. The family dinners are also really fun.

Nice hidden treehouse feel. Owner was super helpful and friendly. The owner helped by picking us up from the bus and organised bus tickets into Vietnam. It was nice to eat dinner with the other guests and to share ideas for travel.

The place is great. Beautiful, very clean, excellent location. Comfortable rooms, very nice. Cheap and good breakfast and dinner. An ideal place to meet other travellers. The couple who run the place is lovely. He speaks very good English. We didn't go trekking in the jungle but people we met told us that they had a fantastic time.
