“Good hotel to stay day or two, but I wouldn't come back there again.”
Delicious breakfast. Way better than any other hotels had where I've been to. Very kind and hospitable service. The owner speaks English, which is not very common on Phuket Island. The rooms were neat. Regarding localization - yes, you have to rent a car or scooter there, otherwise you won't be able to even reach out to the closest beach, but hey, that's the reason why you paid less for this accommodation than in other hotels!

Very hospitable and welcoming host, very willing to teach me about his culture and his experiences. Access to a small pool with a great view, especially at sunrise. Efficient a/c, having fridge and basic kitchen necessities is great for longer term stays
