We couldn't have hoped for a warmer welcome from Mrs Wall and the hospitality given was extraordinary. When we struggled to find the guest house she offered to send out a search party, and the later than planned evening meal was no trouble to her whatsoever. Our room was charming, spotless, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was never-ending and delicious. The setting, deep in the Waterford countryside, was a trip back in time.

I loved the hospitality and food was incredible.The breakfast and dinner were amazing, and the staff and owners were very kind and gave time to all their guests. They chatted to everyone and gave us great local knowledge of the lakes and walks nearby. We loved the atmosphere, the river view, taking time out from our busy lives. We would highly recommend this guesthouse and restaurant

Great food and service

The people who worked at Hanora's were so friendly and helpful - they really made the difference in our stay. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, proper Irish home cooked food. The bedroom was very clean and comfy, and the jacuzzi bath was an unexpected bonus! A great location to use as a base for hiking in the area - which we did.

This is a special place to stay and to dine, located in an area that is stunningly beautiful - the Nire Valley. Each member of the family made me feel so welcome and comfortable. There was a secure place to park my bicycle, a drying room for my clothes, and tea and a homemade muffin in front of a wood burning stove in the sitting room. Dinner was superb and breakfast was exceptional. It is rare nowadays to find such a place as this; I am already planning my next visit 🙂

Everything - the place is beautiful a little piece of heaven. The room was so comfortable and warm and the hot tub was a fabulous bonus. Dinner was gorgeous and breakfast was fantastic. Overall a really lovely night away and Mary and the staff were so welcoming and kind. We have already booked to come back in may

We had a lovely stay in Hanoras Cottage. It is situated in a beautiful location and perfect for going on walks and enjoying the natural surroundings. We had our dinner which was delicious and the breakfast had plenty of variety and cooked to perfection. Everything was excepcional but most of all Mary and the staff are fabulous.
