It seems that some people didn't care much about the other guests who try to sleep (the two guys arrived at 23:30, starting cooking with the noisy boiler, and chatting like no tomorrow). Not the owner's fault, but the walls are like paper : every noise can be heard everywhere.

Even though we arrived way too late, we could still get a hold of staff on the phone <3 The hostel was super beautiful, and Ballstad is very idyllic.

The host is kind and warm-hearted. The accommodation provided is particularly comfortable. Even in the cold winter, the room is as warm as spring. The kitchen and dining area are clean and tidy, with complete utensils. The bed sheets are clean and comfortable. The bathroom is of high quality and has a pleasant fragrance. It is an extremely cost-effective hostel that completely exceeded my expectations. It is a self-service hotel, where there is the warmth and freedom of home. I really like it and will recommend my friends to come and experience this hostel as well. It's great👍

“Nice house in Lofoten :)”
The house was beautiful and well equipped, there was free parking right in front of the house. The kitchen was very well equipped, there were board games for everyone to use. Everything was really clean and comfortable and the two shared bathrooms were clean and with a hairdryer. Our room had its own small fridge and heater.

They place head a rustic and traditional fisherman’s cottage’s vibe. I liked the pink interior, the bed was comfy and the view opened to the harbour.

The house is old but it has everything you need, staying on low budget. Warm showers, equipped kitchen, enough shared space for a bunch of tourists to relax, the rooms warm up quickly. The owner quickly responds to any need or problem that may occur.

Very nice location, quiet, you have all what you need, but as in the name, the cabin is really rustic. Anyhow overall a good experience. Free parking.

“Enjoyable stay with friends in a traditional fisherman’s cabin”
We liked that it was a traditional historic feel. We had plenty of space for the three of us. Bedrooms were as described. We made use of the kitchen facilities and enjoyed our experience.
